Now, these allegations have restricted his YouTube account too. In a statement toKotaku, YouTube confirms that it has demonetised Beahm’s account due to “serious allegations against the creator”. It adds that this is in violation of its “Creator Responsibility policy”, and that this penalty will be in place against any account that Beahm creates.

However, according to a report fromRolling Stone, YouTube was aware of these allegations before they were made public. According to Ryan Wyatt, the former global head of gaming partnerships at YouTube, the rumours were enough to stop Beahm from ever securing a contract from the website, as he had with Twitch before his ban.

Now, Beahm won’t even be able to make money from the ads that are run on his YouTube videos. He did make it clear that he planned to return to content creation after an “extended vacation”, but now, it remains to be seen how he will go about this.

The Timeline Of The Dr DisRespect Allegations

The controversy began when a former Twitch employee, Cody Conners, became the first person to publicly accuse Beahm of speaking with a minor via Twitch. He claimed this was the reason behind the ban.

Then, more reports came out to corroborate Connors' version of events. This prompted Beahm to make a lengthy statement on social media. He denied any legal and criminal wrongdoing, but admitted to “casual” conversations with an “individual minor” that sometimes “leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate”. He says this took place in 2017, three years before his ban from Twitch.

Since then, Beahm haslost numerous partnershipswith companies and organisations such as Turtle Beach and the San Francisco 49ers. Even before his statement, his own gaming company, Midnight Society, parted ways with him. Kick, on the other hand, hasrefused to preemptively ban him.
