Summary
The closure of the Xbox 360 storegrows closer and you now have a little more than a month to go to grab any games on the platform you want before they’re gone for good. The 360 store will close its virtual doors on July 29, after which point you will not be able to buy games digitally for the console, but you will still be able to play them.Xboxhas beencutting the prices of 360 games by as much as 90 percentduring the countdown to shutdown, and the number of titles on sale doubled in size this week via the addition of its second batch.
When the first round of games went on sale in May, there were a little more than 60Xbox 360titles available for less,Tomb Raiderand Far Cry 4 among them. All of the games included in that first batch remain discounted and have been joined by about 90 more as the Xbox 360 shutdown sale now has more than 150 games available for less, and wave two of the sale additions has added some heavy hitters to the mix.

Xbox is still working on publishing an updated list of discounted 360 games. However, Wario64 has one that you can check out above. Just know that this might not be the final list and more games may still be added. One of the titles that jumped out to me most wasSkyrim, mostly because it’s an unwelcome reminder of just how long it has been since the last Elder Scrolls game, and how long it will be until the next one. The OG version of the game on 360 is currently available for just $4.49.
Skyrim
WHERE TO PLAY
One of the all-time greats, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim redefined the concept of the Western RPG. With countless awards under its belt and releases on almost every platform imaginable, you’ll find yourself engrossed in a colossal open world in your role as the Dragonborn. You must face your destiny and save the land from a formidable foe.
Joining it isMetal Gear Solid 5, yet another reminder for those of us who have been gaming for a while of how old we are. That’s right, it has been so long since the last new installment in the Metal Gear Solid series that it originally released two generations ago. Hey, at least the Snake Eater remake will hopefully be here soon, and if you’re looking elsewhere to fill the Metal Gear void until then, the 360 version of the game is currently on sale for $4.99.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
The final game from Hideo Kojima at Konami, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was launched in 2015. As Punished “Venom” Snake, you must get revenge for the loss of your squad in Soviet-era Afghanistan.
The hits really do keep on coming in this round of price cuts with Xbox slashing the prices of some of the 360’s very best games. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are 75 percent off, a handful of Lego Marvel and Star Wars games are in there, and Dishonored has joined the sale too. These price reductions will remain in place through June 02, 2025, after which point they will be gone forever as the 360 store will be shut down. There is still one more round of price cuts to come as even more games will be added to the sale on July 16.
