TheBridgertonshow is centered around the love life of several noble houses in an alternate London of the early 1800s, mostly focused around the Bridgertons. There are, however, other families involved in the proceedings, and the ones we see the most are the Fetheringtons and the Cowpers.

Cressida Cowper is often used as a bully and rival character for our protagonists, namely Daphne Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, but her role has taken a different turn in season 3. With her story being explored more in-depth, fans are already wondering who Cressida will end up marrying, if at all.

Who Does Cressida Cowper Marry?

In the books, Cressida Cowper isn’t developed all that much, butshe does eventually marry offscreen. She ends up with an older man,Lord Twombley, who dies and leaves her as a widowwith no children and not much money to call her own.

Lord Twombley hasn’t appeared in the show yet, but since he wasn’t exactly a character of note in the books, we don’t know if he ever will. The extra focus on Cressida does suggest thatwe will see her developinto a more nuanced person, deviating from how she was characterized in the books.

Lord Alfred Debling might replace Lord Twombley as Cressida’s husband, which would change how her story develops moving forward. If they want to keep her a widow, then the days of poor Lord Debling might be numbered.
