Dozens of iconic Disney and Pixar characters appear inDisney Dreamlight Valley, including the very special Oswald! Befriending them takes time and effort, but rewards you with unique outfits, motifs, and furniture. It’s worth investing in your villagers to better express yourself.

However, some villagers require more work than others, and Oswald is one of these lucky few. Part of welcoming Oswald to the village is building him a proper home! You’ll have to progress through much of Act II of the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass, and you’ll need to find a way to communicate effectively so you may become friends.

How To Communicate With Oswald

Aftercompleting the Spark of Imaginationquest, Oswald will be wandering around Eternity Isle.Speak to himto start this quest and attempt to find a way to communicate.

He’ll imply that you need todress like himto better understand each other. You’ll need to wear the following items to complete this objective:

You’ll get the fedora from Oswald as part of the quest. It’s very stylish!

Once you’re dressed,speak to Oswald. The next activity involves collecting flowers – but onlyblack and white ones, of course. You’llneed eight of themin total.

You don’t have to pick brand-new flowers –any that you havein storage will do just fine! Once you have the flowers,bring them to Oswald. He seems frustrated and leads you to the secret area behind the waterfall on The Docks.

He gestures for you to – literally –break the communication barrierwith your Royal Pickaxe. Shatter the barrier and then try totalk with Oswaldoutside. It should be much easier!

How To Build Oswald’s House

Now that you can communicate clearly with Oswald, he shares thathe needs you to drawhis house. Unlike other villagers, you’ll need tocraft Oswald’s Pencilto draw it yourself.

You won’t actually be drawing the house, but you need the pencil.

Oswald instructs you togather the following resourcesfor building the Oswaldian Pencil:

Take the materials to the nearest Crafting Station,put them all together, and thenequip your new accessoryto get into art mode. Then gocheck in with Oswaldto get the template for his house. Open the furniture menu andplace Oswald’s house.

It looks a little flat at first, but that’s what it’s supposed to look like for now.

Once you’ve found the perfect place,talk to Oswald againto see what else needs to be done.

Where To Get 3D Glasses

Oswald wants toadd depth to his house, and the best way to do that iswith 3D glasses. Thankfully, it seems that Scrooge McDuck has some for sale. You’ll have to shell out1,050 Star Coinsfor the glasses, but it’s worth it to make Oswald comfortable.

While you can technically buy the glasses before this quest, it’sa known bugthat can prevent you from proceeding with the quest!

Purchase the glasses from Scrooge’s catalog, theninteract with the signoutside Oswald’s house. You’ll bring Oswald’s home into the third dimension and complete the quest.
