During the Version 2.0 live stream,Honkai: Star Raildevelopers claimed that Penacony’s story is by far the biggest in the game, and they weren’t wrong. The story is a roller-coaster ride and a lot of the suspense in it is surrounding Robin and the things we discover about her with Aventurine.
Her beautiful design and voice made a lot of people excited for her, and she’s finally releasing as a playable character during the Version 2.2 update. If you’re planning to get this character on her featured banner, here are the materials you should farm.

Robin Ascension Materials
Every five-star character takes the same number of materials for each ascension, but they differ in the actual materials taken. For Robin, these are the materials you’ll mainly need to farm for her ascension:
you’re able to acquire the first three items by defeating variousDreamjolt Troupe enemiesscattered around Penacony’s Dreamscape. Any enemy that doesn’t have a purple color likely belongs to this troupe. Moreover, the IPC Work Permit can be farmed from the Stagnant Shadow in the Version 2.2 update.

Robin Trace Materials
Getting the right amount of trace materials can be much harder thanascension materials in Honkai: Star Railsince they take much longer to farm, and you alsoneed these materials if you’re using certain Light Cones on the character. Thankfully, Robin’s trace materials are already in the game before her initial release, which allows you to pre-farm for her.
Apart from the mob drops mentioned above, here are the main materials you’ll have to farm for Robin’s traces:
The first three items can be acquired by farming the Harmony Crimson Calyx in The Reverie (Dreamscape) area. If you don’t have this area unlocked yet, the Calyx will temporarily be available whenRobin or any other character using these drops is featured on the banners.
On the other hand, Past Evils of the Borehole Planet Disaster is aweekly boss item that can be acquired by fighting the boss in the Seclusion Zone. You can only get nine of these drops each week, which means that you’ll have to farm it for at least two weeks if you want enough drops for Robin.
