InHades 2, Mel will die numerous times, but these deaths won’t be in vain. As she toughs out the many encounters in the various dungeons of the Underworld and surface, she’ll form alliances with powerful gods, gather useful crafting resources, and unlock new incantations to aid her fight against the Titan of Time.
With her tools handy, Melinoe can extract different types of materials in her runs. One of the resources she can obtain with a pickaxe is Plasma; however, unlikeSilver,Bronze, andLimestone, which are readily available in their respective biomes, finding Plasma will prove a bit frustrating.
Hades 2 is in Early Access. As a result, the information below is liable to change over the course of development.
How To Get Plasma
Plasma is found within the Chaos Gates, which appear as you explore the Underworld and Olympus. The item has a deceptive appearance; despite coming off as a flowing substance, it is in fact an ore. To obtain it, you’llneed aCrescent Pickaxe, which you can craft after unlocking the Night’s Craftwork incantation.
Plasma is not a guaranteed spawn,making it an elusive find. More often than not, you’ll come out empty from a run despite taking several Chaos Gates. The last thing you’d want to happen is tostumble upon a Plasma node while not having the right tool to extract it.
While a normal pickaxe can extract one Plasma, theupgraded version will net you two Plasma.
How To Enter Chaos Gates
Chaos Gates won’t start spawning right from the get-go, but at some point after having progressed the story, you’ll occasionally encounter them in your runs. Diving through these will take you toChaos’s domain. An audience with the Primordial Originator, however, willrequire a fair bargain.
As if the scarcity of Plasma wasn’t already enough, descending through a Chaos Gate willsap a certain portion of your health. Getting out of there further involves rolling the dice as you’ll have to accept one of Chaos’s Boons that can either make or break your night.
Where To Use Plasma
While the item description explains thatPlasmahas something to do with incantationsinvolving formlessness and change, there has yet to be an instance where we’ve used Plasma in any such recipe.
As it currently seems,there are no recipes involving Plasma. Given the item’s rarity, however, it’s likelyPlasma will be used in some powerful incantationssomewhere in the near future as new content is added to Hades 2. So, it’s wise to gather this resource as much as you can before you’re able to use it.
