Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreehas added dozens of new weapons for the Tarnished to master. A handful of these new weapons are classified as light greatswords, a new archetype that blends the agile swings of a curved sword with the reach of a greatsword. They strike quickly, deal great damage with the right build, and are quite stylish.

If you want to experiment with a light greatsword near the start of your DLC journey, then you’ll want to book it for the Castle Front to get your hands on Milady. This weapon is quite easy to obtain, can be infused, and has an excellent moveset that any melee main can appreciate. Let’s cover how to get it and how well it upgrades into endgame.

You can find Miladyat the top of a watchtower directly north of the Castle Front site of grace.From spawn, cross the bridge and follow the path to your left. When you reach a building on your left, run up the wooden stairs and eliminate the patrolling guards. Once it’s clear, climb up the ladder that leads to the watchtower. Open the chest to claim Milady, the first light greatsword you’ll find in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Milady is classified as a light greatsword, one of this DLC’s new weapon archetypes. Light greatswords have the agility of a curved sword but with a damage profile that’s closer to a greatsword, slashing enemies with graceful swings that fluidly combo together.Malady attacks rather quickly, but this comes at the cost of overall damage.Powerstancing this weapon is highly recommended.

Ranking up the weapon to +25, you’ll noticea sizable base damage increase but a lack of scaling.This weapon relies on Ash of War affinities or elemental buffs—such as through spells or grease consumables—to increase its damage output further.Infusions on this weapon increase the respective attribute scaling to a B;A and S-tier scalars aren’t possible.
