In true Suikoden-like fashion,Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroessports a robust cooking system. It’s even got its own engaging mini-game. To fetch recipes for Kurtz, your castle’s excellent chef, you’ll need to do one of two things, depending on the recipe in question:raise the restaurant’s levelor find the individual recipe yourself.
While a high number of Kurtz’s recipes are unlocked along the former route, all the remaining recipes are out there in the world. It’s these overworld outliers that we’ll be focusing on in this article. Many are in treasure chests. Others are in shops. All shall be yours.
NPC Conversation Recipes
Several recipes require you tochat with specific NPCs found throughout the world. Nothing else is needed, and you’ll even get a quirky little emoji reaction when Nowa samples the dishes.
Should you happen to converse with these folks prior to unlocking Kurtz,they won’t offer you the recipe; so just head back afterward!

Treasure Chest Recipes
Many of Eiyuden Chronicle’s dishes can only be prepared back home when you’ve fetched them from the boxes their secrets have been stored within. Does it make sense? No. Do RPG treasure chests tend to make sense? No.

Star Item Shop Recipes
Star Itemsare rare pieces of inventory found inspecific shops with a slim percentage of appearingon a half-hour rollaround basis. Put another way,if one doesn’t appear, return to the shop in half an hourto try your luck again.
You can save time by saving at an inn and heading to the shop from there.If the star item doesn’t appear, simply reload your save; by doing so, you bypass the 30-minute timer altogether.
