Genshin Impact’snewest region features a lot of mysteries to be uncovered and one of those mysteries is Grimoire and their respective bookshelves in the Faded Castle. These mysterious Grimoires are scattered throughout the Faded Castle and finding them and returning them to their rightful place will reward travelers with a variety of wonderful rewards ranging from precious chests to hiddenHydroculus.
It’s recommended to unlock all teleport waypoints in the faded castle and finish the world quest The Hall Of The Sea King, to easily navigate the Faded Castle. To unlock the Faded Castle region, simply teleport to the Nostoi Region and do the world quest.
All Lost Grimoire Locations
There are a total of eight Grimoire in the Faded Castle and finding them without any clues can be quite challenging.To catch a Grimoire that is spotted, players must use the power of symphony to stop them from moving and then catch them.
The Grimoire can be inserted into any Bookshelf.
Location Of Lost Grimoire One
This is the easiest Grimoire to find, as most travelers will run into it while doing the world quest in the Faded Castle. If you missed this,teleport to the entrance of the Faded Castle, run straight through the hallway until you reach the end and see the stairs, and then go up the stairs on your left.
This will lead you to a room where you will notice a cat sitting on a chair and bookshelf.To catch the Grimoire, use your power of symphony in front of the bookshelf, and then take the frozen Grimoire.
Location Of Lost Grimoire Two
Starting from the location of the first Grimoire, continue from there, and go up the stairs. As you run up, the Grimoire can be easily spotted flying in the hallway.
Location Of Lost Grimoire Three
Starting from the location where you found “Grimoire Two”,turn around and go down the stairs immediately towards your left. As you spiral down the stairs, the third Grimoire can be easily spotted.
Location Of Lost Grimoire Four
Starting from the location where you found “Grimoire Three”,look towards the water pool and head up the stairs on your left. As you go up the stairs, you will reach a small room with the Grimoire.
Location Of Lost Grimoire Five
For the fifth Grimoireteleport to the waypoint near the Faded Castle’s theater, turn around, and go left towards the room you will see. Go straight through the room, along the path, ignore the enemies nearby, and you will reach a room with lots of seats, with the Grimoire sitting at the front.
Location Of Lost Grimoire Six
For the sixth Grimoire,start from where you found the previous, fifth Grimoire, look around to notice the stairs, and simply run up it. Keep going up the stairs until you reach a dead end, and the sixth Grimoire will be there.
Location Of Lost Grimoire Seven
The seventh Grimoire could be the most well-hidden Grimoire in the Faded Castle, but getting it is no challenging task. Assuming you are starting from where you found the Sixth Grimoire and continuing your journey, jump down from the balcony you are on,and interact with Hydro switch that can be easily noticed.
Once you interact with it, platforms in the shape of a triangle will spawn, board it, and wait for the platforms to take you to the Grimoire.
Location Of Lost Grimoire Eight
The final Grimoire can be found by completing a simple navigating challenge.Start by teleporting to the entrance of the Faded Castle, run straight through the hallway until you reach the part with separate routes, head onto the way going undergroundand you can notice a navigating challenge; simply follow it until the end to find the last and final Grimoire.
All Bookshelves Locations
The bookshelves are also scattered around the Faded Castle at random locations, but they are much easier to spot than Grimoires, and finding all these bookshelves while causally exploring is also possible. Unlocking a bookshelf with a Grimoirewill guide the traveler to a secret room with a variety of rewards, and one of these bookshelves also holds a claymore billet.
To open the bookshelf, you must also use your powers of “Symphony” by holding the Elemental Skill button near the entrance.
Location Of Bookshelf One
Most travelers might have already noticed the first Bookshelf as it stands out as soon as you enter the Faded Castle.To reach this Bookshelf,start from the entrance of the Faded Castle and run straight into the hallway until you run across a lot of books flying in the air.
The bookshelf is very close to it and can be noticed with its majestic blue glow. As you head inside, you will find a precious chest that can be unlocked by defeating a weak Golem, andthere is also a notebook inside revealing the lore of the Faded Castle.
Location Of Bookshelf Two
Finding the second bookshelf is easy,as you simply have to navigate the “Cat”, an icon shown on the mini-map, or most travelers have already come across this spot while doing the quest and while looking for Grimoires. The secret room in this bookshelf has anexquisite chest and a hidden Hydroculus.
Location Of Bookshelf Three
Starting from where “Bookshelf Two” was,run up the stairs in front of it, take a sharp right turn as soon as you’re on top, and you will notice more stairs that were cleverly somewhat hidden. Go up here, and continue going up by the stairs to find the Bookshelf.
The secret room inside has aremarkable chest and a stone golem, so be prepared to fight as well.
Location Of Bookshelf Four
As you get to the third bookshelf, you will be on a balcony;jump down from there and fly towards the pool, and you can easily notice the bookshelf. This bookshelf can also be easily spotted byteleporting to the theater room in the Faded Castle and going towards the pool.
The secret room inside will have an exquisite chest.
Location Of Bookshelf Five
All the upcoming bookshelves are in the “Library” section of the Faded Castle. To find this place, teleport to the teleport waypoint on top of the theater and head towards the room on your left.
Continue moving forward following the path until you reach a room with lots of books. This location can also be traced by following the location of Grimoire Five.
The secret room unlocked from this Bookshelf is very largeand has two treasure chests and a Claymore billet. You also have to defeat three Golems inside the room.
Location Of Bookshelf Six
Perhaps, this might be the easiest bookshelf to find asit will be right in front of you as soon as you exit the secret room of the fifth bookshelf.This bookshelf’s secret room has an exquisite chest.
Location Of Bookshelf Seven
Continue going up the library to the top floor to easily find this bookshelf. This bookshelf will contain anexquisite chest.
Location Of Bookshelf Eight
The final Bookshelf is in the same spot as the “Seventh Grimoire”. As you go up the library floors you will notice a Hydro crystal switch, activate it andsimply follow along the platforms that spawn to reach the location of the final Bookshelf.
