One of the more essential items you’ll need as you progress in Soulmask is Cotton. This seemingly ordinary resource is used to craft Yarn and Coarse Cotton, both of which are vital to crafting late-game supplies like saddles. Where To Find Cotton
Cotton Plants are usually found nearBarbarian Barracks and Barbarian Fortresses.Thankfully, you won’t have to travel far to find your first cotton plants.
Open up the map (using the M key) and headnorthwest to the starting zone. Here, you can find aBarbarian Barrack, an enemy location shrouded in fog.
To clear the fog and reveal the map,you’ll need to find a Barbarian Scout camp and deter the Scout.One such Scout camp called theWestern Barbarian Scout,is locatedsouthwest of the Barbarian Barracks.
Once you reach this camp, you’ll find three enemies: aBarbarian warrior, anattack dog, and aScout. Simply kill the first two andwound the Scout.
After his health reaches around 30 percent,you’ll get the option topress E to deter him.Doing so will steal his knowledge of the area, clearing the fog from your map.
If you accidentally kill the Scout, wait 15 minutes for the camp to respawn and try again.
After the fog clears, head to the Barbarian Barracks and finda cotton field on the southern side of the wall.You’ll need to fight your way through the guards to enter the field and harvest cotton. Approach the tall, green bushes with white flowers andpress Eto get Cotton.
Besides this,cotton seeds can also be found inside chests in Barbarian Camps, Barbarian Barracks, and Ancient Ruins.Moreover, cotton has a chance todrop from enemies, likeOutcasts and Plunderers found in the Ancient Ruins.
Once you reach Awareness Strength level 10, you can unlock farm plots in your technology tree. This will enable you to use cotton seeds to plant your own cotton plants at your base.
