Players thinking they’ve beatenAnimal Wellhave barely scratched the surface. The well runs deeper than you might’ve thought, and there’s still a trove of secrets left to be uncovered. Between collecting every Egg and acquiring all the upgrades, the puzzles involving the secret rabbits are perhaps the most thought-provoking ones.

In this guide, we’ll go through the locations of the 16 hidden bunnies scattered around the map and how to find them. While some will test your platforming skills with the Bubble Wand, others will challenge your ingenuity. For those still struggling, the guide also includes helpful videos.

Tutorial Bunny

Thissecret bunny can be found to the far right of the bubblevator, across the screen withthe two cranes. This requires theupgraded Bubble Wandto reach ahidden gap in the top right corner of the wall, which you’ll get after the first credits have rolled.

From there, use theBubble Wandto cross thespiky obstacle courseto reach one of the earliest areas of the game and the first secret rabbit you encounter in Animal Well.

Bunny Mural

The second secret bunny is found by solving thebunny mural puzzle, several screens to the right of the animal statues.Using the Remote upgrade here will expose the control panel, which you can operate to change the dots on the mural to solve the puzzle.

It would be impractical to detail where all the colored pixels go, so feel free to use the above video guide for reference. Once you’ve put the pieces in place,another door to the right of the control room will open, leading you to the secret bunny.

You only getone random piece of the puzzle, which you find after collecting 32 Eggs. The complete puzzle consists of50 such pieces, and it took acombined effort of the community, including a key fragment from thedeveloper, Billy Basso. The complete solution was first shared byDiscord user CruM, so kudos to them!

“Use The Force” Bunny

In the jungle biomewith the two chinchillas and walking hedgehogs, use your Remote to access the door on the bottom right, where you’ll find anotherchinchilla riding a moving platformwith some vines in an upper compartment.

Manipulating these vines using your touchpad or mousewill reveal key inputs ➡️↗️➡️⬇️➡️↙️↙️➡️ on the wall to play using theAnimal Flute. This is the solution to the next secret bunny, and playing the melody will send you to a hidden room where you can find it.

Connect The Dots Bunny

For the next secret rabbit, you will have tolocate the symboled pillars with the dotted numbers, but we’ve already done much of the heavy lifting for you. Whenever you come across them, mark them on your map with the relevant stamp and number with the pencil.

As you’ve guessed, this is aconnect-the-dots puzzle, and solving it reveals a series of eight numbers:6-7-2-3-4-3-5-3. These numbers represent the melody ↖️⬆️↘️⬇️↙️⬇️⬅️⬇️ that you’ll have to play on the Animal Flute. When the last tune escapes your flute, you’ll bewarped to the screen containing the fourth secret bunny.

UV Bunny

As you randomly explore the world of Animal Well with your UV Lantern on, looking for clues to certain puzzles, you will sometimes come acrossweird sparkles in the air. These are left by a secret rabbit that can only be seen in UV light, and trailing these will lead you to it.

Thesecret rabbit can appear in a few areas of the map, but the most reliable method is tohop onto theDiscwith the UV Lantern on in the area with the four animal statues. As you quickly move to and fro in this area, the rabbit will eventually pop up, and you’ll effortlessly take it down as shown in the video.

Idle Dream Bunny

As anewborn brown blob, your character will frequently fall asleep like any healthy baby blob does if you don’t move it around. Eventually,it’ll start dreaming, and of all things, it of course has to be about a secret rabbit.

The rabbit usually takes aboutthree minutes to appear, and once it does, quickly wake up, equip the Bubble Wand (if needed), and touch your dream bubble to catch it.

Duck Bunny

To the right of the animal statues, you would’ve passed by aquacking duckseveral times, wondering what it’s doing there. Well, this is a reference to the classicduck and rabbit illusion. By heading to the room at the extreme top right corner of the map, you can put an end to this debate for good.

In this room, you’ll find a pixelated version of the illusion on the left wall, and to the right will beeight faces. Thesehint at the notes you’ll have to play near the duck, with ⬆️⬇️⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️ being the corresponding inputs. Theduck will transforminto what appears to be the most satisfying reveal ever -a secret rabbit.

Fish Bunny

Thefish mural is located several rooms to the left of the animal statues. Your curiosity will get the better of you as you ponder the weird picture, but you won’t be rewarded for it until you’ve got theUV Lantern and the Animal Flute.

While on the middle platform,use the UV Lantern to reveal the hidden notes⬅️⬅️↘️➡️↗️⬅️⬅️↗️ on the wall that will take you to your next secret bunny.

Ghost Bunny

In the tutorial area of Animal Well, there’s a room with aghost that keeps respawning as there’s nocandleto kill it. While the Firecracker is a temporary solution, the flute will vanquish it for good. Will it really though? Kind of, but with a cute little twist.

After beating the main game, you canaccess the skull room, where you’ll find awall with more faces. Deciphering it results in aclockwise input➡️↘️⬇️↙️⬅️↖️⬆️↗️, which you canplay on your Animal Flutein the ghost room.The ghost will transform into a rabbitfor you to catch.

Bulb Bunny

In the area where you’re first introduced to theFirecracker, you’ll find amural with a rabbit followed by four flower bulbs, similar to the ones shown on anempty save slot. When you start a new game using these empty slots, yourcharacter hatches from these bulbs, andeach emits distinct sparkles.

To solve this secret rabbit puzzle, you’ll need topay close attention to the nubs of each bulb and the direction of the sparkle, and then match it with the mural. This will in turn give you the melodies ➡️⬇️⬅️⬆️➡️⬇️↖️↗️➡️⬇️⬅️⬆️↘️↙️↖️↗️, and ifplayed on the flute, it will warp you to the tenth secret bunny.

“Floor Is Lava” Bunny

Theupgraded version of the Bubble Wandwill make your life a lot easier in solvingthis secret bunny puzzle. Stand on the top right platform of the area with the three dogs. If it is blocked off, move one screen to the right and use the Remote to open it.

After that, use yourplatforming skills with the Bubble Wandto make it across one screen to the left with the two dog statues and two screens up past the wolf warp pointwithout touching the ground. When you make it to the upper third room, use theRemote to flip a switch, and start descending to the previous room with your bubbles.

Take the right exit, and then jump into the water to respawnon the last piece of solid ground you were on, which is the platform you started this course from. This time, however,you may only head right. After following a short pathway, you’ll make it to apink button. Pushing it will open two doors: one to your exit and another to ahidden chamber with a bunny.

Spike Bunny

Of all the secret rabbits you can find, reaching this one is a bit tricky. It involves crossing asnake-shaped spiked obstaclecourse that requires mastery of yourforward Disc ride technique.

Starting from thesave point of swordfish lakein the top right corner of the map, use theBubble Wandto make it one screen to the left, and then enter ahidden gap in the ceilingas shown above. From there, it’s only a matter of how well you can execute your forward Disc rides to make it to the secret rabbit.

It takes alittle bit of practiceto get theforward Disc ride down, but you need torelease the Disc at the height of your forward jumpto properly perform it.

Dog Bunny

Collecting secret bunny number 13 involves anotherghost cat chase around the map of Animal Well. After you’ve solved theM. Disc Shrine puzzle, steal the M. Disc once more and the ghost dog will start chasing you again. Quicklywarp back with the animal flute to the fast travel hub, taking the bear on the right to the jungle biome.

With the cat hot on your tail,head to the screen on the left via the bottom left exit. Here you candrop down to an areawith a hedgehog circling a platform and adog statue wearing bunny earsin the top right-hand corner. If you reach the statue and stand there, the approachingghost cat will eventually touch the statue, turning it into a secret rabbit.

You must grab the secret rabbit before the ghost cat can kill you.

Caw Caw Bunny

In the top right corner of the jungle biome, you’ll findcrows in several rooms. Inone particular room sit eight crowsin a pattern similar to the faces found in the skull room.

As soon as you enter the room, ready your flute about you, andplay the notes in the order they release their caws. For example,if the bird on the left caws, play the left note.Continue mimicking them until a hidden area containing a secret rabbit opens up in the top right corner.

The crow cawing order israndom for every player.

TV Bunny

After you’vebeaten the Manticorefor the first time, you’ll gain access to your house.Once you’ve acquired the Remote,warp back to your house via flute input↘️↖️↘️↖️↘️↖️↘️↖️ toaccess the TV.

Use theRemote eight times and note down the face patternsthat appear on the screen. These correspond to the melody ↗️↖️↙️↘️⬆️⬅️⬇️➡️, which, if you play it on the flute, will cause a secret rabbit to hop out of the screen in a fashion similar to Sadako from The Ring.

Origami Bunny

There aretwo ways you can solve the final secret rabbit puzzle, depending onwhether you’re on a PC with a printer attachedor not. After collecting all 64 Eggs, you’ll be able to acquire theOffice Key which opens the locked doorin your house. You’ll find acomputer in the office roomthat you can interact with.

If you’ve got a printer attached to your PC, it’llprint an origami paperwhich, when folded, forms a bunny containing the melodies ➡️↗️⬆️⬅️↖️⬆️⬅️⬇️. If you play this near the computer, you’ll get yourself anOrigami Figure and a secret bunny.

Those who want the intended solution but don’t have a printer can head to the area with thetwo odd-looking dog statues. Thegrass acts as a barcode that you can scan, giving you a hint to the same notes.

Playing this will reveal ahidden compartment below them, with a chest containing theMama Cha Figureand the final secret bunny if you haven’t already found it in the office room.

Solving The BDTP Puzzle

Aside from getting theSecret Bunny Achievementin Animal Well, collecting all 16 secret bunnies is required forsolving the BDTP puzzle. After obtaining the true ending, and finding yourself on theplatform with the two Manticores, you’llcome across every secret bunny you’ve collected so far.

If you note down the direction of each bunny’s ears from left to right, you’ll be able todecrypt the BDTP puzzleusing theblackboard in the office room. This will give you the inputs showing the direction you’ll have totransition the endless skywhile riding the Manticore from the flag area.

If you follow it correctly, you’ll make it to anew area - a bunny shrine of sort - with a giant bunnythat will eat you if you get close to it. It doesn’t end here, however, as you’ll poop out from its back, and as more than just a mere blob. Now evolved, you can press jump twice to transform into a moth that can explore the map at breakneck speed.
