Payment In Paint is one of many optional quests inSand Landthat improve the village of Spino and the services available there. It involves exploring one of the crumbling ruins that dot the desert landscape, and requires you to use multiple vehicle types to complete.
The missing pigments that you’re out to collect are hidden in plain sight, so if you find yourself running in circles within the ruins, don’t worry - it took us several times through to find the bag as well. Here’s how to find them and get on with your adventure.
Where To Find Adne
Once Lutemis has settled into Spino and opened her Furniture Shop,check in with her periodically. Eventually, she’ll have a request for you; find her erstwhile paint supplier, Adne.
If the quest doesn’t appear, come back to Spino after progressing the main story a bit.
Adne can be found at Akque Camp, in the Wapho Region to the southeast. The camp is in thenortheastern corner of Wapho, a short distance from the Radio Tower there. Speak to her, and she’ll reveal that shelost her satchel of pigmentswhile exploring the North Laure Ruins.
How To Find the Missing Pigments
The North Laure Ruins arejust east of Akque Camp, so you won’t have to go far. The entrance is guarded by a band of Junkers with Jump-Bots; your Battle Tank should make short work of them. Once they’re dealt with, go inside andtake a left.
Stay in your Battle Tank; this will make it easy to eliminate the scorpions inside the ruins, and you’ll need the main cannon toblast through the rockblocking the path at the first staircase.
Continue through the ruins,checking side rooms for treasure, until you come to a dead end. The pile of rubble in the corner can beclimbed using the Jump-Bot. It leads to a hole in the wall that can be used to reach the next room.
After climbing through the hole,take time to look at the base of the rubblethat you land near; the Missing Pigments are there, but you won’t see them if you just keep moving.
From here, you’re able to eithergo back the way you cameor continue further into the ruins. You’ll need theMotorbiketo be able to explore fully, as there’s a gap to jump. When you come to a rock at the end, destroying it with the Battle Tank will reveal a crawlspace that will take you back to the entrance.
Return the Missing Pigments to Adne, and she’ll send new colors to the Paint Shop in Spino.
