One of the largest annual festivals in Stardew Valley takes place at the end of Winter, theFeast of the Winter Starfestival, which takes place onWinter 25. A week before, you’ll receive aletter fromLewisto say who your secret friend is for thegift exchangethat occurs during the festival.
On the day of the Feast, head into town after 9AM to find its halls fully decked for the holiday. Once there, you’ll need tofind your secret friendwho was assigned in your letter andgive them a gift, ideally somethingthey really enjoy, since you’ll get a hefty friendship boost with this townsperson for the effort.
After you give your gift, you’ll receive a gift from your own secret friend, which sees one townsperson chosen at random to beyourfriend the way you just were for someone else. If you’re really, really lucky this year, you have asmall chance to get the Tea Set as your giftfrom one of several adults.
What Are Your Chances Of Being Given The Tea Set?
in Pelican Town, there are a total of30 possible secret friends(or 29, if you don’t have Leo back in the Valley yet). Of these 30 characters, there are22 who can gift the Tea Set. Your secret friend needs to beany adult except Clint, Evelyn, Marnie, Robin, or Willie, all of whom have specific gifts they’ll give for the occasion.

If you should get one of these adults as your secret friend, you’ll still need to be lucky enough with the Tea Set, asyour gift is a random one of 14 possible presents, with plenty of food, gems, and more also in the mix that are markedly more common.
In all, this means you have a73.33 percent chance of getting the right secret friendat the Feast of the Winter Star, and if you should get someone who can give it, you’ll then have a4.55 percent chance to receive the Tea Setfrom an adult NPC who doesn’t have a special gifting selection.
Find It In The Traveling Cart (In A Few Decades)
As of the version 1.6 update for Stardew Valley in March 2024, it’s been found by fans who’ve looked in the game’s code that theTea Set becomes available during Year 25should you visitthe Traveling Carton the day the merchant is in town.
25 years is quite a long time to wait, and once Year 25 arrives, you’ll have afive percent chance each time the Traveling Cart visitsto find the item in stock. Should you find it here, it’ll run you1,000,000g.
