Final Fantasy 14servers have been switched off for two days for maintenance ahead of the Early Access launch for Dawntrail on Friday 28 June. Hopefully, you tied up any loose ends andprepared for the new expansionbefore the servers went down.

When Do Servers Go Live On Friday June 28?

The servers are due togo live on June 28 at 2:00 am (PDT) / 9:00 (GMT) / 10:00 (BST).This is subject to change, sometimes maintenance finishes earlier or later.

Square Enix has told us the patch will be quite large, so it’s wise toupdate your client ahead of time as soon as the patch is available.

Currently, the plan is for the patch to be available for download at the following times:

Xbox/PS4/PS5

Roughly July 31, 2025 4:00 am (PDT) / 11:00 (GMT) / 12:00 (BST).

PC/Mac/Steam

Roughly July 02, 2025 8:00 am (PDT) / 15:00 (GMT) / 16:00 (BST).

These times are approximate and subject to change. Once the patch is available for download, Square Enix will announce the newson its Special Notice section.

Can I Access The Dawntrail Content Immediately On June 28?

June 28 is the launch of Early Access for Dawntrail, so you will be able to access the Dawntrail content if youhave an active subscription andhave pre-ordered Dawntrailon the platform you wish to play it on.

You must have redeemed your Early Access code via the Mog Station in order for your account to register as having access.

At launch on July 2, you can then redeem your full Dawntrail expansion code and youmustdo this to continue to have access to Dawntrail content past launch.

For anyone who has not pre-ordered to get Early Access, theofficial Dawntrail release date is June 24, 2025.

You will need to have purchased the Dawntrail expansion for the platform you wish to play on (and have registered it to your account) to be able to access the content.
