Restrictions
As we all know, pregnancy isn’t all fun and rainbows; the same is true for your Vault Dwellers. Dweller pregnancies will all be uneventful, but there arerestrictionsto what pregnant Dwellers can do.
Pregnant Dwellers are considered precious commodities in the Vault. As such, your pregnant Dwellerswon’t be allowedto headinto the Wastelandorsolve Vault Emergencies.
You can still drag and drop pregnant Dwellers into rooms with active emergencies, but they’ll just run around screaming uselessly. To spare your eardrums and your Dwellers' stress level, we recommendleaving pregnant Dwellers in safer areas.
Once a Dweller has given birth, she will be able to return to dangerous activities likeWasteland exploration, combat, and solving emergencies. Children cannotdo any of these dangerous activities until they arefully grown.

Tips For Babymaking
Babymaking may seem intuitive, but there are a few ways you can createeven better Vault Dwellers.
Prioritize Dwellers With High Stats
Since children inherit their parents' S.P.E.C.I.A.L. scores, it’s best toplan your breeding pairsaccordingly. You are more likely to create children with higher, specialized stats if youbreed together two Dwellers with higher stats.
If you know you needmore Dwellerswho excel inPerception, place two Dwellers withhigh Perception statsin the Living Quarters. Their offspring aremore likely to inherita higher Perception stat as a result.
Try toisolate your breeding pairsin the Living Quarters to ensure your child Dwellers areonly inheriting the desired traits.
Dwellers withhigher Charismawill bemore successfulat seducing other Dwellers than Dwellers with lower Charisma.
Since children also inherit their parents' levels, it’s a good idea to breed togetherhigh-level Dwellers. The resulting baby will be of a higher level, too.
Use Clothing To Boost Charisma
If you want toboost the compatibilityof your Vault Dwellers, the best way to do so is byequipping them with clothingitems thatimprove their Charismascores. Dwellers with higher Charisma aremore likely to attracta partner (or multiple partners!).
Childrenwill notinherit stat levels that their parentsgained from clothing.
Train Your Dwellers
Youcan’t guarantee what statsyour Dwellers have, as most of them haverandomly generatedstats upon arriving at your Vault, but you’re able to improve a Vault Dwellers' stats bysending them to training rooms.
By using specialized training rooms toimprove your Vault Dwellers' stats, you can pick and choose which dwellers are most equipped for which jobs.
