As you experience each character’s story inSaGa Emerald Beyond, you’ll encounter many visions. These are opportunities to develop the story, fight new enemies, and pursue side content. However, at first glance, visions can be confusing. Thankfully, we’ve broken them down so you can better understand them.
There are three types of Visions in SaGa Emerald Beyond: red, green, and blue. These Visions each have a different meaning that impacts the story and your retinue. Here’s everything you need to know about Visions and how they work to get the most out of each unique narrative in SaGa Emerald Beyond!

Red Visions
Red Visions denote battles you can encounter. When interacting with red Visions, or onesmarked with crossed swords, you can expect to find fiends. These are oftenoptional combat scenariosyou can participate in.
Make sure tocheck the difficulty and save your gamebefore engaging with the enemy!

While thebattles aren’t mandatory, you can usuallyearn materials and rewardsby completing them. Unlike other Visions, some red ones will remain in place once completed, allowing you toattempt them againto gain more rewards.
Green Visions
Green Visions arecritical to the main story, whether you get to make important choices or proceed in a linear fashion. You’ll have to interact with these to progress the story with each character, though they won’t always be available on screen.
Some scenarios won’t show any green Visions while you work on side objectives, but that doesn’t mean you’re not progressing.

When you see a green Vision, orone marked with an exclamation point, be sure tosave and wrap up any other objectivesin the area. Once you progress, you more than likelywon’t be able to go back.
Blue Visions
Blue Visionssignal side content. If you find one, it’s anopportunity to interact with the worldyou’re in and learn more about it. Often, these Visions provide insights and optional objectives for you to complete.
Save often! Some blue Visions willprevent you from progressingwith the main story until you complete the entire line of objectives, like in Grelon.
Some of theseoptional objectives tie into the main story, but not always. Officially, they haveno direct relation to the main progressionof the game, though they can impact the endings you receive.
