Similar to the Talent system for characters in Genshin Impact or even the class passives of a traditional RPG, the Resonators inWuthering Wavescome with their own unique traits called a Forte Circuit. Each character has their own Forte Circuit, and you’ll want to invest in it just as much as their other skills, but what exactly do they do?
If you’re having trouble understanding what a Forte Circuit is and how it impacts each Resonator, we’ve got you covered. We’ll go over what they are and give you a brief explanation of how every Resonator’s Forte Circuit works, so you’re able to make the most of them in battle.

What Are Forte Circuits?
Forte Circuits area type of passive skill that every Resonator gets, and each Forte Circuit has a unique effect that willprovide several passive effectsfor a particular Resonator.
These effects can range greatly and work to benefit a Resonator’s playstyle, such as by augmenting their skills with extra bonuses, temporarily transforming their skills into new versions, making them inflict special debuffs on enemies, or giving themselves buffs.

Many characters also gain stacks of a specific buffthanks to their Forte Circuit, and this buff is symbolized either by their Forte Gauge, a circular gauge to the left of their Forte Gauge, or a number to the right or left of the Forte Gauge.
For example,Verina’s Forte Circuit is Starflower Bloomsand if she has at least one stack of Photosynthesis Energy and uses her Heavy Attack, it will consume one of those stacks to make her Heavy Attack recover Energy and heal her team and nearby allies.
Character Forte Circuits
Each Resonator’s Forte Circuitgenerally gives them between two and four different passivesor modifiers. These havetheir own skill level, and theirForte Circuit can be leveled up to increase the effectsof its bonus' modifiers with thesame materials used for their other skills.
You canclick the small button with four lines and an arrowto reveal additional information about how a Forte Circuit or other skills work in the Forte menu.
Aalto
Misty Cover
Aaltoenters Mistcloak Dash when passing through his Mist or Gate of Quandry. He gains increased movement speed, andconsumes one Mist Drop duringthe duration tocast his resonance skill, Mist Missile, automatically.
Aalto canhold up to six Mist Drops at once, and recovers them when his Basic or Mid-Air attacks pass through his Mist.
Baizhi
Cycle Of Life
Baizhiconsumes all her stacks of Concentrationwhen casting herHeavy Attack or Resonance Skillin order to heal her teammates. EachConcentration stack generates one heal, and the heals occur every 2 seconds.
Baizhi alsorestores Concerto and Resonance energyif she consumes the stacksfor her Heavy Attack, or onlyrestores Concerto Energyif she consumes the stacks forher Resonance Skill.
Baizhi can holdup to four Concentration stacksat once, andgenerates them with her Basic Attack.
Calcharo
Hunting Mission
When Calcharo hasthree stacks of Cruelty, hisHeavy Attack will become the skill Heavy Attack “Mercy"and, when used, willconsume those three stacks to deal additional Electro Damage, and recover both Resonance and Concerto energy.
Calcharo canhold up to three stacks of Crueltyat one time, but if he’sunder his Resonance Liberation’s Deathblade Gearstate, he can onlyrecover Cruelty by using his Resonance Skill.
When in hisResonance Liberation’sDeathblade Gear state, Calcharo’sForte Gauge is replaced by Killing Intent, and he can holdup to five stacks of Killing Intent. He cangain Killing Intent stacks by casting Hound’s Roar.
If Calcharo hasfive stacks of Killing Intent, hisBasic Attack becomes Heavy Attack “Death Messenger"and heconsumes those five Killing Intentstacks todeal Electro Damageand recover both Resonance and Concerto Energy.
Chixia
Heroic Bullets
Holding down the Resonance Skill buttonallows Chixia toenter DAKA DAKA! state, and when in this state, shecontinuously consumes Thermobaric Bulletsto deal Fusion damage. If30 Therobaric Bullets are fired, Chixia willcast Resonance Skill: BOOM BOOMand leave DAKA DAKA! state.
During DAKA DAKA! state, you can use the Basic Attack to skip straight to Basic Attack 4 and this will terminate DAKA DAKA! state.
DAKA DAKA! state willautomatically end when all Thermobaric Bullets are consumed, and Chixia canhold up to 60at one time. Thermobaric Bullets aregenerated when casting her Intro Skill,using Resonance Skillwithout holding it, and shestarts off with tendue to Inherent Skill: Scorching Magazine.
Danjin
Serene Vigil
After Danjinaccumulates 60 stacks of Ruby Blossom, she canpress and hold Basic Attackto release all stacks andcast Chaoscleave, doing Havoc Damage and healing Danjin.
UsingBasic Attack after Chaoscleave will cast Scatterbloom, dealing Havoc Damage to the target.
Danjin canhold up to 120 stacksof Ruby Blossom, andgains them by using her Resonance Skill. If Danjin isholding 120 or more stacksof Ruby Blossom, they’re insteadconsumed and provide a damage bonusto Chaoscleave and Scatterbloom.
Encore
Black & White Woolies
When Encorereaches 100 stacks of Mayhem, she willenter Mayhem state after using Heavy Attack, and it willreduce damage taken by 70 percent, even when switching characters. After Mayhem ends, Encore will cast Cloudy Frenzy.
If Encorecasts Heavy attack during her Resonance Liberationand has reached100 stacks of Mayhem, she will enter anenhanced version of Mayhemcalled Cosmos Mayhem, which alsoreduces damage by 70 percent, and she willcast Cosmos Rupture upon endinginstead of Cloudy Frenzy.
Encoregains stacks of Mayhemwhen her Basic Attack, Resonance Skill Flaming Woolies or Energic Welcome, or Resonance Liberationhits a target.
Jianxin
Primordial Chi Spiral
When Jianxin’sChi reaches maximum, she canhold Heavy Attack to start Zhoutian Process, whichincreases her interruption resistancesomewhat, andreducesdamage taken by 50 percent.
Zhoutian Process is a multi-stage attack and during it, Jianxin willcontinuously consume Chi to deal Aero damageto nearby enemies, and shegains different buffsduring each stage foras long as the attack is held down:
WhenZhoutain Process ends, Jianxin willgain a shield based on her Zhoutain Progress, and it willheal her once every six secondswhile it lasts.
Jianxin canhold up to 120 Chi, and shegains Chi when her Basic Attack hitsa target, herResonance Skill is cast, when Resonance SkillsChi Counter or Chi Parry hits a target, and when herIntro Skill hits a target.
Jiyan
Qingloong At War
If Jiyan has30 or more Resolvewhen hecasts his Resonance Skill, he willconsume 30 Resolve to increase the damageof the skill by 20 percent. If Jiyan isunder Qingloong mode, the damage of hisResonance Skill is increased by 20 percentbut itdoes not cost Resolve.
If Jiyan has30 or more Resolvewhen hecasts his Resonance Liberation, he willconsume 30 Resolvein order tocast Resonance Liberation: Emerald Storm: Finale in additionto dealing Aero damage.
Jiyan canhold up to 60 Resolveat one time, and hegains Resolvewhen hisnormal attack or Intro Skill hits a target. If hedoesn’t hit a target within 15 seconds, his stacks ofResolve will decrease.
Lingyang
Unification Of Spirits
When Lingyang has100 Lion Spirit, he can useHeavy Attack to cast Glorious Plungeand deal Glacio Damage.
If Lingyang hasless than 100 Lion Spirit, he canperform Tail Strike by using Basic Attack after HeavyAttack.
Lingyang canenter into Striding Lion state after certain actions, and it can be entered byperforming Glorious Plungeor bycasting his Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation thenperforming aBasic Attackwhilehaving 100 Lion Spirit.
While in Striding Lion state, Lingyang canperform combos in midairand his attacks are replaced by enhanced versions. HisBasic Attack becomes Feral Gyrateand hisResonance Skill is replaced by Mountain Roamer. If Lingyang hasten or less Lion Spiritleft, hisBasic Attack becomes Stormy Kicksand hecan perform Radiant Plunge. He restores Concerto Energy when Lion Spirit is consumed.
This statelasts around five seconds, but if he’s underResonance Skill: Lion’s Vigor’s effects, the Lion Spiritgauge consumption is reduced by 50 percent.
Lingyang canhave up to 100 Lion Spirit, and hegains Lion Spiritby performing hisResonance Skill, Resonance Liberation, and Intro Skill.
Mortefi
Fury Fugue
When Mortefi’sAnnoyance reaches 100, hisResonance Skill becomes Fury Fudge, and heconsumes all his current Annoyance to cast the spelland deal Fusion Damage.
Mortefi canhold up to 100 Annoyance, and Annoyance can begained when his Normal Attack,Intro Skill, orResonance Skill hits a target. Anadditional amount of Annoyance can be obtainedif Mortefi uses aBasic Attackwithin five secondsof castingPassionate Variation.
Rover (Havoc)
Umbra Eclipse
When Havoc Rover’sUmbra is full, they canhold down the Basic Attack button to cast Devastationon the target, thenenter into their Dark Surge state.
While in theirDark Surge state, theirattacks are replaced by enhanced versionsthat do additional damage and have new combos. Their Basic Attack is replaced by Enhanced Basic Attack, their Heavy Attack is replaced by Enhanced Heavy Attack and theirResonance Skill becomes Lifetaker. When theyuse Enhanced Basic Attack after casting Thwackblade, they’ll additionallycast Basic Attack Three.
Havoc Rover canhold up to 100 Umbraat once, and they canrecover Umbra by using their Basic Attack, Resonance Skill, Resonance Liberation, and Intro Skill.
Rover (Spectro)
World In A Grain Of Sand
If Spectro Roverhas over 50 Diminutive Soundwhen theycast their Resonance Skill, they canconsume 50 Diminutive Sound to cast Resonating Spinto deal Spectro Damage.
After Resonating Spin, Spectro Rover canuse their Basic Attack buttonto alsocast Resonance Skill: Resonating Echoesand deal Spectro damage.
Spectro Rover canhold up to 100 Diminutive Noiseat once, and they cangain it with every Normal Attack hit, everyaftertune hit from their Heavy Attack, and theirIntro Skill.
Sanhua
Clarity Of Mind
Whenholding down the Basic AttackButton, acursor will appearand move aroundon the Forte Gaugefor Sanhua. If youstop it in the Frostbite areaof the gauge,Sanhua willcast Heavy Attack Detonate.
Sanhua’sHeavy Attack Detonatewill causeall existing icefrom her Resonance Skill, Resonance Liberation, and Intro/Outro Skills todetonate and do Glacio damage.
Sanhua can haveup to two stacks of Clarityat once, and Clarity stacks aregained by performing Basic Attack 5, castingher Intro Skill, or herResonance Skill. Her Resonance Liberation causes her to gain two stacks of Clarity. Each stack ofClarity increases the Frostbite areaon Sanhua’s gauge, and usingDetonate removes all Clarity stacks.
Taoqi
Power Shift
When Taoqi hasat least one Resolving Caliber, she canuse her Basic Attack after her Heavy Attack or Intro Skill to cast Timed Countersto do up to three consecutive attacks. EachTimed Counter consumes one Resolving Caliberupon hitting an enemy and provides Taoqi with a shield.
Taoqi canhold up to three Resolving Caliberat one time, and usingBasic Attack Four will consumeall of herRocksteady Shields to generatethe equivalent amount ofResolving Caliber.
While having Rocksteady Shields, thecurrent character will consume one shield to reduce damagetaken from an attack, andResolving Caliber will be recovered. IfRocksteady Shield ends, and you have any remaining,the shields will turn into Resolving Caliber.
Verina
Starflower Blooms
If Verina has anyPhotosynthesis Energy stacks, she willconsume one stackwhen casting either herHeavy Attack or Midair Attackto cast an enhanced version that restores Concerto Energy andheals all party members nearby. She can alsocast Midair Attack: Starflower Bloomby usingBasic Attack after casting Heavy Attackwhen she has Photosynthesis Energy stacks.
Verina can holdup to four stacks of Photosynthesis Energyat one time, and shegains Photosynthesis Energystacks for everyBasic Attack Five that hitsan enemy. She also gains one Photosynthesis Energy whenhitting enemies with her Resonance Skill and Intro Skill.
Yangyang
Echoing Feathers
When Yangyanghas three Melodies, she cancast Stormy Strike after using Heavy Attackto deal Aero damage. She can alsoconsume all three Melodiesby casting aBasic Attack in midairto performseveral consecutive attacks for Aero damage, then land for an additional attack.
Yangyang canhold up to three Melodiesat once, and shegains one Melody when hittingan enemy withBasic Attack Four, herResonance Skill, or herIntro Skill.
Yinlin
Chameleon Cipher
When Yinlin’sJudgment Points are full, herHeavy Attack is replaced with Chameleon Cipher, which deals Electro damage, andall stacks of Judgment Points are consumed. If Chameleon Cipherhits a target with Sinner’s Mark, that mark will bereplaced with an enhanced version, Punishment Mark.
Yinlin’s Normal Attack, Resonance Liberation, and Intro Skill willapply Sinner’s Mark when hitting an enemy, but the mark isremoved if she exits the field.
If atarget has a Punishment Markon them, the skillJudgment Strike will hit themto deal Electro damage, and thisattack can be triggered up to once a second.
Yinlin canhold up to 100 Judgment Pointsat one time, and shegains Judgment Pointswhen herNormal Attack,Resonance Skill: Electromagnetic Blast or Lightning Execution, orResonance Liberation hits a target.
Yuanwu
Unassuming Blade
WhenYuanwu’s Readiness is full, hisResonance Skill can be held downin order tocast Rumbling Spark, which deals Electro damage andmakes Yuanwu enter Lightning Infused state.
WhenYuanwu’s Readiness is full, his Resonance SkillThundering Wedge will also cast Thunder Upsingto deal Electro damage.
Yuanwu’sLightning Infused state can be on him and any nearby allies, and it greatlyincreases interruption resistance, along withproviding him with different buffs. His Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, and Dodge Counter gain a larger range and deplete enemy Vibration Strength faster. He can alsocast Thunderweaveby using aBasic Attack after casting his Heavy Attack or a successful Counterattack.
Yuanwu canhold up to 100 Readiness stacksat one time, and hegains ReadinesswhenThundering Wedge is on the fieldand whenit hits a target.
