Among the more significant changes from the original game inShin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, there’s now a nifty place where you can bond with your demons and get free stuff while you’re at it. This location is called theDemon Haunt, and it’s a fine little shake-up from the game’s ordinary routine.
But what are Demon Haunts? How do they work, why should you care, and what do you get out of it? We’ve prepared an overview for you in the hopes that you may better appreciate the feature - and maybe it’ll help you decide whether to grab SMT 5 a second time.

What Is The Demon Haunt?
At the Demon Haunt, players canhave conversations with their demons as well as any current human guest characters.
While the human characters' chats are merely there to provide some bonus characterization, spend enough time with a demon in your stock, and it will reward you with items. Better yet, your demons will eventually “feel motivated” andincrease their stats or even learn new moves.

You can also useDemon Boxeson a demon by pressing the gift-giving button when standing beside one at the Demon Haunt. This speeds up the process of getting them to warm up to you, thoughwe’ve seldom found much need for these.
How To Enter The Demon Haunt
Accessing Demon Haunts is easy.Approach a leyline fount, and select the “Demon Haunt” option; that’s all it takes. Once you’ve arrived, walk up to each of your demons who have new conversations.
If a demon hasan item or a motivation stat-up, you’ll receive a notification outside the Demon Haunt that they wish to speak with you. They’ll have anexclamation mark over their headsat the Demon Haunt if so.

That said, there are times when you won’t be able to access a Demon Haunt.Leyline founts throughout “real” Tokyo tend not to have these, as each Demon Haunt is a small area within whichever Netherworld area you’re currently traversing.
Speaking With Aogomi For Nahobino Stat Boosts
If you’ve played Shin Megami Tensei 5 and wished you could spend a little more quality time with Aogami, you’re in luck.At Demon Haunts, Aogami can be conversed with at the bench, which means you’ll get to peer into your partner’s mind a bit more throughout your strange journey.
Atset points in the story, conversing with Aogamirewards you with three stat points to distributeas you please. At least, wethinkit’s at set points in the story. We’ll let you know if we find evidence to the contrary; either way, check it out!
When the Nahobino levels up,you only get to distribute a single point- three more are awarded randomly - so be sure to take advantage of this.
