Summary

InHades 2,you play as Melinoë, the sister of Zagreus, as she faces off against Chronos and his forces. To take down this lord of time, you will need to arm yourself with powerful Nocturnal Arms, or weapons, which can be upgraded by crafting or unlocking Weapon Aspects.

Unlike other upgrades in the game, Weapon Aspects are permanent upgrades to your Nocturnal Arms, meaning you will not lose them if you have to restart your run. If you are curious about which Weapon Aspects offer the best buffs, then check out the entries below.

When you start Hades 2, you will only have accessto one of the Nocturnal Arms, the Witch’s Staff. As you continue to play, you can craft the Sister Blades, Umbral Flames, Moonstone Axe, and Argent Skull, which all have their own dedicated Weapon Aspects.

Each Weapon Aspect can also be upgraded, which will increase their damage with each level.

Generally, the Umbral Flames is one of the better weapon choices in Hades 2, but this flaming weapon struggles to take on multiple enemies at once. However, the Aspect of Moros can assist you in dealing with large waves of enemies at once.

When you attack with this weapon, you will shoot out small balls of green fire, which will linger on the battlefield thanks to the Aspect of Moros. By attacking these fiery orbs with your Special Attacks, they will explode and deal AOE damage to enemies.

As your starting weapon, the Witch’s Staff is an acceptable choice for taking on many enemies at once, and the Aspect of Circe will only make you even more formidable on the battlefield. By landing 21 successful attacks in a row, you will gain the Serenity Blessing for six seconds, making your charged attacks faster.

This allows you to continually launch powerful charged attacks at your enemies, which also adds to the total number of hits you need for your next Serenity buff. However, landing 21 successful attacks may be challenging for some players, making this Aspect fall flat when compared to others.

If you like to spend a long time in combat, then the Aspect of Eos is the best upgrade you can choose for the Umbral Flames. This allows the fire attacks from the Umbral Flames to grow steadily in size and damage for up to four seconds after they are shot.

If you sprint during this time, the orbs will immediately return to you, damaging any enemies in their path. Overall, while this Aspect is great at causing the Umbral Flames to actually do damage, waiting for the orbs to grow to their full size can be challenging, as you may need to sprint to dodge incoming attacks.

The Aspect of Medea is a bit of a unique upgrade to the weapon, as it shortens the range of all your attacks. To compensate for this, the weapon will create even larger explosions when impacting enemies, which also deals more damage.

When you first craft the Aspect Of Medea, these explosions will deal an extra 20 percent damage, but they can be upgraded to deal up to 60 percent bonus damage. Furthermore, as the attacks from the Argent Skull still explode after not hitting an enemy, they can be used to control tight areas.

The Aspect Of Pan is an upgrade for the daggers, which allows you to deal extra damage to enemies trapped within your casts. The Cast is the large sigil you place on the ground, which can freeze or trap enemies within the area, depending on your Boons.

By activating your Omega Special Attack, you will throw extra blades that automatically lock onto enemies trapped within your cast. This can be incredibly useful at close range, essentially turning your throwing blades into blasts of damage on single targets.

In games like Hades 2, no resource is more important than your health. If you lose all your health, you will be forced to restart your run from the beginning of the game, so any buffs that restore your health are incredibly powerful.

The Aspect of Momus on the Witch’s Staff does just that by healing five HP whenever you are below 50 percent max HP. To earn this healing, you will have to attack enemies with your Special Attacks, which are also boosted by a flat ten damage.

The main drawback of the Sister Blades is their short range, which forces you to get up close and personal with enemies, thus opening you to dangerous attacks. Luckily, the Aspect Of Artemis provides you with some much-needed defense whenever you are charging your Omega attacks.

Specifically, while charging an Omega Attack, the Aspect of Artemis will cause you to occasionally parry an attack, which makes you impervious to damage for 1 second. Furthermore, after successfully using a Parry, your next nine attacks will gain a 50 percent increase in critical strike chance.

The Aspect Of Charon is a map manipulation upgrade because it shifts the way you can use the axe. With the Aspect of Charon equipped, your casts, or the large hex you place on the ground, will explode if they come into contact with your Omega Attacks.

The best way to use this Aspect is to not upgrade your Cast, as the default Cast allows you to group enemies and trap them in a small area. Then, all you need to do is attack this cluster of enemies with an Omega attack to cause an explosion that will deal massive damage.

Named after your mother, the Aspect of Persephone is a stacking buff that allows you to generate Glory. While you have Glory, all your Omega Special Attacks last five seconds longer and continuously fire.

Since the Argent Skull deals damage from long range, you may dish out massive amounts of damage from a safe distance. Remember that whenever you want to use the Omega Special Attack, you will need mana, so come prepared with the correct upgrades.

The Aspect of Thanatos relies upon your skill as a player since you will have to take as little damage as possible. Specifically, you will continually increase the crit chance of your attacks by dealing damage with Omega Attacks, but even taking a small amount of damage will completely remove all the extra crit chance you have gained.

While the Aspect of Thanatos is not incredible at early levels, it can be upgraded to increase the maximum amount of crit chance you can gain up to 20 percent. On top of providing you with some serious damage, the Aspect Of Thanatos also transforms the Moonstone Axe into the scythe wielded by Thanatos.
