The latest character showcase trailer forDragon Ball: Sparking Zerohas confirmed that Ultra Instinct Sign Goku and Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black will be playable characters alongside Yajirobe, Dabura, and, ugh, Ribrianne.
Even though it feels like we just got atonof news about Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero at Summer Game Fest (including the release dateand aton of gameplay reveals), it looks like there’s a lot more to show as a brand-new character showcase trailer for the game has just been released.
You might be wondering how Sparking Zero can possibly have another trailerseeing how we’ve already had so many over the past few months,but seeing as how we’re barely over halfway through the roster currently, there are still a ton of fighters to be revealed. Today’s trailer showcased that, as Ultra Instinct Sign Goku, Yajirobe, and Dabura were all confirmed to be playable.
EGG, EGG, And EGG Are Confirmed To Be Playable In Sparking Zero
The theme of this trailer was “Swords vs Fists” and it certainly delivered on that promise. We got better looks at characters like Super Vegito, Trunks, and Jiren, but we also got confirmation that Yajirobe, Dabura, and some fighters from the Tournament of Power will all be playable in Sparking Zero as well. That sadly includes Ribrianne, one of Dragon Ball’s least popular characters, but we all knew that was inevitable.
Although that’s great to see, the highlight of the trailer came right at the end as Goku’s Ultra Instinct Sign form was confirmed to take up a roster slot. We already knew that Mastered Ultra Instinct was going to be in the game, but it’s nice to see that the form behind one of Dragon Ball Super’s best moments is in the game.
That wasn’t the only good news for Goku fans, though, as Goku Black was finally shown off in more detail and revealed to have his Super Saiyan Rose transformation. Of course, neither of these reveals come as a surprise considering the base characters are in, but it’s still nice to see the roster fill up a bit more with iconic characters.
Really the only surprise of the trailer was Yajirobe, who is considered a bit of a gag character in the original Budokai Tenkaichi trilogy.
Interestingly, this is the first Sparking Zero character showcase that we’ve known absolutely nothing about before going in.Almost every other trailer has been spoiled by V-Jump leaks ahead of time, which made this one a very interesting time for fans. It might not have had massive reveals, but at least Goku got a whole lot of love.
