Hades 2has a bevy of different enemies, but they are just classified as normal, guardians, mini-bosses, or bosses. If you open up the journal and skim through all these normal enemies, you’ll see that some of these are way more dangerous than others. The Verminancer enemy comes to mind because this is an extremely dangerous foe.
While most players may seem to get the hang of beating the Verminancer in their first run, it is crucial that you don’t take much damage from fighting this enemy because of how important it is to keep your health up at this stage. Here’s the best way you can deal with these Verminancers to help you do more consistent runs.

Hades 2 is in Early Access. Everything mentioned here is subject to change, and will be amended when needed.
Verminancer Location
You’ll encounter theVerminancer in the Tartarus areaafterbeating Cerberus in the Fields of Mourning.
You might get confused about who or what the Verminancer is becausethe Satyr Vierophant looks exactly like the Verminancer.

If you examine your journal closely, it is hinted that the Verminancer is just a Satyr Vierophant that extraordinarily grew in size. So, both of them look like theserobed Satyrs with one of their hands being replaced with Vermins.
The Satyr Vierophant frequently shows up in Tartarus, but the Verminancer is an improved version of the Satyr Vierophant withmore health, damage, and enhanced abilities.

Verminancer Fight Strategy
Since you’ll be facing Chronos, Titan of Time in the House of Hades, you want to preserve your utilities and healthas much as possible before the fight.
This is why it is important to learn all the fights so you end up as fresh as possible for the boss fight.

The Verminancer fight is aroundtwo stages before the Chronos fight. It spawns alone in the middle of the stage.
However, one of Verminancer’s abilities is tosummon Vermins to fight you. This becomes a huge problem because theseVermins are extremely fast and aim to cause havocwhile you dodge the other attacks.
You want to deal with them as fast as possible withany area of effect (AoE) attacks or specials. It really doesn’t matter if your boons are more for single-target damage.
you’re able to use your underpowered attacks or specials since most Vermins have low health points to begin with.
The Verminancersummons more than three Vermins at a time, which is very different from the Satyr Vierophant. As for the Verminancer’s other dangerous attacks, it alsolaunches three circular projectiles that rotate around the area.
These projectiles disappear after a short time.
This is hard to dodge alone, so imagine if you had to deal with Vermins simultaneously.
To play it on the safe side, you shouldsprint out of rangeuntil the projectiles start going farther away from the Verminancer, and then you cango back in to deal more damage.
Your goal is toremove the armor from the Verminancer so that you can stagger it.
If you deal enough damage to break the armor, each hit from your attacks, or specials will staggerthe Verminancer, causing it to do absolutely nothingand become a punching bag as long as you keep hitting it.
The fight might seem simple, but the Vermins and the projectile attacks are extremely dangerous. When you reach Tartarus, it is expected thatyour power level is off the chartsalready. You have gone through Erebus, Oceanus, and the Fields of Mourning to buff up all your boons, hexes, Daedalus Hammers, and others.
Things might be a little harder if you don’t have that many upgrades that synergize with each other or if you aren’t utilizing some boons.
How To Deal With Satyr Vierophants In The Chronos Boss Fight
After beating the Verminancer in Tartarus, you’ll end up in the House of Hades to fight Chronos. In this fight,Chronos has some reinforcementsto help him in this battle.
These reinforcements are usuallysix Satyr Vierophants that have similar attacks as the Verminancer.
If you encountered Hades before the fight, there’s aboon of Hades that reduces the reinforcement in the Chronos fight.
If you don’t take this boon, you’ll have to deal with the six Satyr Vierophants.
The strategy changes a little since most of them will summon Vermins and attack with a singular rotating projectile instead of three.
They don’t have armor, so if you’re able to hit more than two targets at once, you can stagger them permanently until they are eliminated. However, Chronos is also fighting you during this, so it is much harder to accomplish.
You want to deal with these Satyrs separately from Chronos, so the best strategy is torun from Chronos and attempt to split them apart.
