After the release of the Double Typhoon starter deck, the fan-favorite bunny/puppy received a continuous wave of support including the mighty Rapidmon (X Antibody) in Beginning Observer. Although the card is not an alternate art, the Secret Rare rarity carries its price towards the top.
Rapidmon can put a defensive effect to minus DP Digimon as they attack you, making it hard to remove, and since it can Digivolve on top of a level four Rapidmon, it makes climbing so much easier for the deck.

9Magnamon (X Antibody)

Magnamon (X Antibody) is the boogeyman of the BT16 format. Thisarmored knightis the first in the Digimon Card Game that is made up of three different colors, making the card extremely versatile and highly wanted. As one of the two Secret Rares in the set, Magnamon is the card that every player is trying to pull when ripping packs at their local game stores. If they wish to build the deck itself, or simply trade for pieces they want for others, this card is the one to look for.
8Rapidmon (X Antibody) (Alternate Art)

As soon as they see this version of the boss Digimon, fans of Terriermon will try their hardest to get their hands on the Rapidmon alternate art. This card looks incredible, showcasing thecyborgin an extremely dynamic pose sprawled across the entire card.
Luckily, the alternate art is not that much more than the regular art, so if you’re looking to flex in front of your local scene, you should shell out the money before the price goes up, and your green deck gets left in the dust.

7Vikemon Ace (Textured)

Starting with BT16, the Digimon Card Game has introduced a new rarity, enticing players to buy even more sealed product. Special Rares, similar to those in the One Piece Card Game, are hard to pull and extremely valuable.
In this set, the Special Rare cards are the Ace Digimon with a gorgeous monochromatic look and foiling. This Vikemon is the first one up, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t any more valuable. The card’s black and blue color makes the foiling stand out even more.

All of the textured cards are considered chase cards which are not guaranteed in a box.
6Magnamon (X Antibody) (Alternate Art)

The regular art of this card is already plenty pricey, so of course the alternate art is more than twice its value. Magnamon X’s design is already cool enough as it is, but this alternate art takes it to another level.
Collectors are constantly clamoring over this card since the art shows a mighty Magnamon posing and showing every other Tamer how menacing it can truly be in the Battle Area. Sadly, at the Secret Rare rarity, pulling this card is be a tall order, and an even taller one procuring a playset.

5GranKuwagamon Ace (Textured)

GrandisKuwagamon dominated the Digimon Card Game for a hot minute with its powerful and unrelenting one turn kill, or OTK for short. The deck, while strong, was a bit bricky and eventually failed to keep up with the meta after a couple of hits on the restricted list.
Now, GranKuwagamon makes its return with an amazing Ace card. Paired with TyrantKabuterimon, this beautiful green and purple card can eliminate some of your opponent’s most fickle Digimon while looking extremely flashy in this Special Rare art that you’ll be elated that you pulled.

4Valkyrimon Ace (Textured)

Valkyrimon Ace was one of the most anticipated card from BT16 Beginning Observer. Its versatility as a top-end for many yellow decks that require a bit more aggression is warmly welcomed. With Numemon and the like running the show in competitive play, Valkyrimon can give the slug decks that extra push it needed to close out games even faster.
The yellow color on the Textured card stands out quite a bit, but the contrast of the black background with the red lettering makes this card look incredible.

3Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode Ace (Textured)

Being the protagonist of the Digimon Adventure 02 anime, Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode is here to champion BT16. The Textured art of this card is one of the best looking in the set. Showing off its signature Giga Death attack, this card looks stunning in a binder, but even more when you Blast Digivolve amidst your opponent’s attack.
Even though the card is blue and green, the foiling of it makes the green shine an almost teal-like color that you’ll only be able to appreciate in person.

2Imperialdramon: Dragon Mode (Alternate Art)

Even though the card is only listed as an alternate art, this Imperialdramon is one of the chase cards found in BT16. you may barely see the titular Ancient Dragon, but there is a great reason behind it.
The art of this card is the poster for the Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning movie, matching the title of the booster set. If you are an Imperialdramon fan, you’ll want to spend the money on this card quickly to represent one of the best cast of Digidestined in Digimon history.

When we say that Magnamon X is the boogeyman of the format, we are talking about this card in particular. The menacing mug of the golden-armored knight staring straight into your soul as it tanks just about any attack you throw at it is representative of its high price tag.
Very rarely does the Digimon Card Game release a chase card that is priced this high, but with a card that is hard to pull and a requirement for the best deck in the format, thisRoyal Knightis no joke.
