Brock makes a rare appearance in the Pokemon TCG, as he doesn’t boast many valuable full art cards to collect, but still maintains solid value in his limited appearances. This down-to-business depiction of Brock gives us a rare look at this trainer when he’s not pining over someone.
This card continues to climb in value over time, leaving behind the old days when it barely sold for two dollars. This cardexperienced a major boom to $4.50and has set this price as its base, where it continues to increase in small increments.
14M Slowbro EX (Ultra Rare) – $6.22
Creeping Up The List
Mega Slowbro is probably one of the most unexpected inclusions among the most valuable XY Evolutions chase cards, but even this goofy Water-type Pokemon deserves its time in the spotlight. Mega Evolutions are some of the most beloved designs ever featured in Pokemon, and this bizarre Slowbro is counted among them.
Despite hovering in the $2.50 range for most of the last few years, Slowbro saw a huge uptick in late 2024 heading into 2025 – when all Pokemon cards began surging to new heights. Despite a slow start, this card sits at a market price well over double where it began in 2024.

A Cute Mew Holo
Mew is always a major attraction in the Pokemon TCG, though some of the best versions of this Pokemon typically feature artwork depicting its shiny form or rely on vintage status to make it stand out.
While this Mew card is only a Holo Rare, it clocks in with a respectable value that earns it a spot among the best XY Evolutions chase cards. As the sole Holo Rare on this list, Mew stands out, though it’s beginning to back off from its new highs, as it appears likely to settle around the current market price.

This first M Venusaur version offers a taste of the awe-inspiring verdant artwork to come, with this Pokemon featuring a garden’s worth of flowers in bloom around it.
Unfortunately, Venusaur took a massive tumble toward the $4.50 mark but has recovered its value to eclipse the five-dollar plateau. Since its rise, Venusaur hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, blowing past its previous $5.50 range.

Charizard doesn’t need much of a reason to appear among the most expensive cards in XY Evolutions, as the iconic Fire-type is a mainstay on these lists. The artwork is gorgeous for the relatively modest price tag, but considering the incredible designs on full-art cards still to come in this set, it’s worth spending a little more for something distinct.

Flying Up The Charts
Mega Pidgeot perfectly positions itself in the pack of XY Evolutions chase cards, cementing a solid placement that is sure to keep it as a mainstay among the set’s chase cards for the foreseeable future. This version of Pidgeot makes excellent use of color and capitalizes on the exquisite Mega Evolution design to make this card stand out.
Despite dwelling below six dollars in value for most of 2023 and 2024, the start of 2025 ushered this card into a new era in the double digits, helping it break new barriers and find a home among the best cards in XY Evolutions.
9M Blastoise EX (Ultra Rare) – $15.28
Kantonian Starters Everywhere
Blastoise barely squeaks into the double digits, as XY Evolutions' most valuable cards are off to a strong start. Blastoise usually falls in line behind its buddy Charizard, but Blastoise puts up a good fight against its Fire-type foe in the battle for TCG supremacy.
Some full-art cards are coming up that make good use of the card space, so this Blastoise likely won’t see much upward mobility in the future, making its placement solid.

Mewtwo is legendary in every sense of the word, as its impact on Pokemon is ubiquitous;from movies to games, and even in the TCG, Mewtwo is a force to be reckoned with.As one of the first legendary Pokemon in the series, Mewtwo carries a degree of nostalgia for many collectors to latch onto, but artwork like this needs no prior attachment.
Whether you’re new to collecting or you’ve been adding to your Mewtwo collection for years, this is a must-have card on cool factor alone.
Its price is relatively stable, but there’s no telling what may happen in the Pokemon market.

With competition like this, the Ultra Rares that started things off won’t be going anywhere higher than they are right now. Dragonite EX is a breathtaking card with bright,bold features that capture your attention.
Dragonite’s pseudo-legendary status sets it apart from many other Pokemon from the original 151, but this artwork does some incredibly heavy lifting in supporting this card’s value. You won’t find many cooler versions of Dragonite than this.
