The X & Y era boasts some valuable sets, so it comes as no surprise that Primal Clash offers some exceptional individualPokemon TCGcards to collect. However, rather than featuring a host of Kalos Pokemon in Primal Clash, this set is dedicated to Kyogre & Groudon’s struggle for supremacy.
Whether you support one of these behemoths, or you’re just happy to enjoy the show, you won’t be disappointed by some of the most valuable Primal Clash cards. Even if you’re not interested in a powerful legendary duo, there are some unusual Trainer cards in Primal Clash.

Cards are ordered according to their market price onTCGplayer, which is subject to change.
10Gardevoir EX (Full Art) – $19.02
Gardevoir’s Grand Entrance
Gardevoir’s grace is perfectly captured in this fabulous full-art of the popular Psychic and Fairy-type Pokemon. The deep purple background gives the spotlight to Gardevoir’s light color palette, letting it shine as the center of attention.
This Gardevoir breaks into the top spots of Primal Clash’s most expensive cards following a year of consistent upward trend thatbrought it from about $14 to just a little below $20.

Dethroning the next card on the list is easier said than done, so Gardevoir’s potential will heavily depend on how the rest of the cards ahead of it perform.
9Primal Groudon EX (Ultra Rare) – $20.96
An Ancient Battle Begins
Groudon is the first on the board in the battle between Kyogre and Groudon, as this Ground-type Pokemon makes the first appearance for the legendaries. While this card is just an Ultra Rare, it commands consistent value in the $15–$22 range, making a noticeable impact.
As the only non-full-art Pokemon on the list, this Groudon card impresses due to the Pokemon’s immense popularity, which helps to break the rules a bit with this valuable card beating out Gardevoir EX by almost $2.

8M Aggron EX (Full Art) – $21.07
Reaching Its Potential
While the prior Groudon isn’t a full-art, this Mega Aggron EX makes its mark among the best cards in Primal Clash, as it eclipses another lumbering behemoth: Groudon. While Aggron’s rise from the ashes is impressive, it still has some ground to make up if it hopes to rise on this list.
Luckily for Mega Aggron,it’s back above $21 after falling into the $17 range, but it needs to continue its momentum back toward $22 to move up another slot ahead of another fantastic Mega Pokemon.

7M Gardevoir EX (Full Art) – $21.46
A Mega Makeover
Mega Gardevoir EX maintains a consistent upward trajectory that catapulted it from $15 to over the $21 mark in about a year. Gardevoir’s popularity combined with the unique Mega Evolution design makes this card a must-have for Gardevoir collectors.
Gardevoir’s popularity extends across generations, as it also appears amongthe most valuable cards in Sun & Moon’s Unbroken Bonds.

The striking dark background is present in this Gardevoir art as well, but the intricate detailing gives this artwork even more to love than the regular Gardevoir EX had. Whichever Gardevoir you prefer, this Pokemon’s popularity is certain tomake it a mainstay among the most valuable cards in Primal Clash.
6Switch (Secret) – $28.04
An Unusual Item
While there’s usually one Trainer Item card among the most valuable cards in a given set, they’re usually recognizable in some way, like the Escape Rope, or an Ultra Ball. However, aside from the switch (or button) itself, this cardheavily features a floating Pokeball as its focal point, explaining the card’s value.
While the trajectory is consistent, the Pokemon market can change quickly, so this card might never eclipse the cards to come.

Like some of the cards before it, the Switch Trainer Item displays steady growth, climbing from the low $20s up to just above the $28 plateau where it currently sits. However, much like its predecessors, the cards ahead of Switch might be too good to surpass.
5Groudon EX (Full Art) – $34.12
Two Spots To Groudon
Groudon claims another spot among the most valuable cards in Primal Clash. This fierce full-art depiction of Groudon features the legendary Pokemon in a striking battle pose.
Few Groudon cards feature such an excellent, clean action shot with Groudon in full view.

This card stays consistent with the trend of a steady price rise, beginning below $30, and creeping up into the mid-30s to reach its current point. However, this card comes out on the short end of the stick, as it might have been higher if not for a minuscule difference in value.
4Teammates (Full Art) – $34.35
Everybody Needs A Friend
The Teammates full-art beats out Groudon by a slim margin, but this battle is far from over. While these two aren’t among themost valuable full-art trainer cards in the Pokemon TCG,they’ve been rising in price to warrant consideration among the best.
While there’s no telling how their price will perform compared to Groudon in the long term, they’ve already exceeded all expectations by eclipsing the legendary Pokemon heavily featured in this set.

3Kyogre EX (Full Art) – $41.13
Kyogre Gets On The Board
In case you forgot about the other participant in this ancient clash between legendaries, Kyogre’s debut among the most valuable Primal Clash cards makes massive waves asthe first card to eclipse $40 so far. This full-art features Kyogre mid-attack as it unleashes the power of the oceans.
Kyogre may not feature as many times among the best cards in Primal Clash as its rival Groudon does, but this Water-type creature features some high-quality artwork to bolster its price.

2Primal Kyogre EX (Full Art) – $48.42
Don’t Call It A Comeback
After an absence that lasted until the top three,Kyogre brings back-to-back $40+ bangers to the tablewith two artworks that elevate this legendary Pokemon to new heights. The Mega Evolution cards are unique and striking, but the Primal version features the most vibrant version of these legendary beasts.
The cacophony of colors on this Kyogre card is incredible, with splashes of pink around the edges that pay homage to the Pokemon’s shiny color palette. This card is near its peak, so where it goes from here will determine its trajectory in the long term.

1Primal Groudon EX (Full Art) – $67.98
Claiming The Crown For Ground
Primal Groudon gets the last laugh as the most valuable card in Primal Clash, eclipsing its eternal rival, Kyogre, with a detailed design. Groudon has experiencedthe biggest jump in price on this list, rising from under $40 and now approaching the $70 mark.
Despite its fairly humble start that might have seen it place outside the top three, Groudon’s surge in value carries it to the top of the charts, clearing its next closest competitor by nearly $20. While it’s hard to expect this card to continue on this incredible run, it might not relinquish its crown for a while.
