The best sets from the Sun & Moon erain thePokemon TCGfeature a collection of notable cards with iconic designs. Following the theme of sets like Unified Minds, Hidden Fates features a healthy mix of some ofthe best full-art Trainer cardsto complement excellent Tag Team cards with some of the most legendary Pokemon in the series.
However, Hidden Fates doesn’t include any Pokemon found in Alola; instead, it focuses on Pokemon and Trainers from Generation One’s Kanto region. Some of the most notable legendary Pokemon appear here, along with many solo Pokemon among the most expensive cards in Hidden Fates.

Cards are ordered according to theirTCGplayermarket price, which is subject to change.
This list only includes the standard set of Hidden Fates cards, not the Shiny Vault.

Updated July 13, 2025, by Andrew Scariati:There are plenty of Hidden Fates chase cards to get excited about from the main set of cards, highlighted by one of the series' best duos. While there’s plenty more to see in the Shiny Vault, these are Hidden Fates' best cards you can find that celebrate Pokemon in their standard color palette.
11Onix GX (Ultra Rare) – $1.33
A Rocky Start For Hidden Fates
It’s not often you find Onix on one of these lists, but this Kantonian rock-type rolls into town with unexpectedly coolart featuring a mid-action moment.
Onix’s appearance among the top ten most valuable cards in any set usually isn’t a positive sign of the set’s value, but don’t worry, it gets better.

Brock’s signature Pokemon doesn’t offer much hype or promise from an investing standpoint, but this card captures the essence of Generation One in its simplicity.
10Wigglytuff GX (Ultra Rare) – $1.38
Stepping Into The Elite
Wigglytuff waltzes onto the scene as one of the best cards in Hidden Fates with a big smile on its face to juxtapose a relatively small price tag. Wigglytuff doesn’t cost much, but this card offers an aesthetically bright start to the list, as this Pokemon’s pastel color palette pops off the page.
If you like this Wigglytuff art, now is a great time to buy, as this card’s price won’t get much lower than it is now. However, if you’re not in a rush, this card isn’t likely to soar in price, so you could always wait and see when the opportunity arises.

9Raichu GX (Ultra Rare) – $1.44
Surfing The Current
Raichu GX joins the fray asone of the best cards you’ll find in the main Hidden Fates set,as one of several Kanto Pokemon to receive GX cards. Raichu joins its peers Onix and Wigglytuff as some of the most valuable Ultra Rares in Hidden Fates, but other Pokemon aren’t the only competition these three will face in this set.
While Raichu has seen several peaks and valleys in its career, this card jumps into the upper tiers on the back of an incredible rally that pushed Raichu from 75 cents to over one dollar. While this card likely won’t keep going up endlessly, it will be interesting to see where it settles once it stops rising.

8Giovanni’s Exile (Full Art) – $1.57
Rising From The Shadows
Giovanni usually appears at least once per generation in the Pokemon TCG, this time with Giovanni’s Exile delivering a perfect depiction of the Team Rocket boss. While this full-art pales in comparison to the Boss’s Orders Giovanni, which topsthe most valuable cards in Rebel Clash, it has similar aesthetic value.
Whichever version you prefer, Giovanni’s Exile is undoubtedly a very affordable card, making it a wonderful choice to collect if you like Giovanni. However, hold your horses and stick around to see another Team Rocket Trainer card among the best in Hidden Fates.

7Gyarados GX (Ultra Rare) – $1.91
The Slimmest Of Margins
Gyarados falls slightly down from what could have been a higher place, as itloses out by a slim margin.
Prices are always changing, so Gyarados may climb at any moment.

Despite a disappointing loss to the card to come, Gyarados features fantastic art in Hiden Fates as it rises out of the ocean with intimidating intent in its eyes. Gyarados is always a popular choice, but, surprisingly, this artwork doesn’t earn a higher spot in Hidden Fates.
6Mewtwo GX (Ultra Rare) – $2.47
Giovanni’s Most Coveted Pokemon
Much like in its movie appearance, Mewtwo exceeds Giovanni in every way, this time in value, as Mewtwo moves up the list of the most valuable cards in Hidden Fates. Unlike some ofthe most valuable cards in Team Up, this Mewtwo GX marks an unusual trend in this set: a lack of Tag Team varieties.
However, despite the solo Pokemon dominance featuring iconic Pokemon like Mewtwo, there’s still a notable Tag Team trio coming up.

Mewtwo GX commands solid value considering it’s just a regular Ultra Rare, and it just misses out on the top five most valuable cards in the set.
5Charizard GX (Ultra Rare) – $5.52
A Humbling Finish
Charizard usually finds itself at or near the top of themost valuable cards, like in the base set, or more recently, among themost expensive Champion’s Path cards. However, the usual top dog in the Pokemon world will have to settle for an unusually low placement among Hidden Fates' most valuable cards.
What’s even more surprising is the lack of additional Charizard variations in the set, but perhaps less is more in a case like Charizard. Despite a disappointing sub-$5 value, Charizard misses out due to some very deserving cards that claim the top spots.

4Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno GX (Ultra Rare) – $11.28
One For The Top Tier
It should go without saying that few Pokemon can ever eclipse Charizard’s value, especially when comparing within the same sets. Charizard usually competes with Pikachu and some ofthe most expensive Eeveelution cardsfor TCG supremacy, but this legendary trio challenges the best with their fantastic artwork.
This artwork draws your eye to the center of the card, as these three legendary elemental birds swirl around in a circular pattern, creating a mesmerizing effect. If this art isn’t your cup of tea, there’s another iteration that might capture your attention instead.

3Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno (Full Art) – $11.35
Two Straight Legendary Spots
The legendary Kantonian trio takes home a second straight spot among the most valuable Hidden Fates cards, but this time with a zoomed-out artwork that allows you toappreciate these Pokemon in all their glory. The colors don’t blend nearly as much, giving a more visually distinct separation between the three.
This Full Art displays a healthy price trend with peaks and valleys, trending up overall from $7 to the double digits, as this card continues to climb. However, despite growing demand, there’s one thing that might stop this card from growing exponentially: its twin.
2Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno (Secret Rare) – $14.22
Three For The Money
The final upgrade for the legendary Kantonian birds is the Rainbow Secret Rare treatment, which gives them distinct designs with a beautiful polychromatic pattern. Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno areone of the few trios to feature in a Tag Team card, making them part of an exclusive group of Pokemon TCG cards.
There’s another notable legendary trio amongthe most valuable Cosmic Eclipse cards.
The rainbow pattern is perfect for these Pokemon, as their typical color palettes are still somewhat visible when you tilt the card the right way, giving them a fresh but familiar feeling.
