Romancing different marriage candidates is a huge part of playingStardew Valley. They can be romanced by talking to a marriage candidate daily, giving them loved or liked gifts, and saying hello to them during festivals.
Once you receiveeight hearts with a marriage candidate, you may buy a bouquet and give it to the person you’re wooing. That makes them your boyfriend or girlfriend. Once they have ten hearts, you can marry them by offering them the mermaid pendant.
12Shane
Close Proximity
Shaneis the easiest marriage candidate to romance. He goes to the Stardrop Saloon very often, and you can buy gifts for him from Gus. He loves pizza, beer, and pepper poppers; all you have to do is stop by the saloon once a day in the evening, and your friendship with Shane will flourish.
Shane will be standoffish at first, so ensure to be persistent in talking with him. The more that you do, the quicker he’ll grow to love you.
11Leah
Easy Gifts
Leahis easy to romance because she likes all fruit,and foraged items, which makes her easy to please. She’s also a big fan of Salad, which you can grab from Gus whenever you’re in the Saloon together.
The one struggle with Leah is that she’s a little disconnected from everyone else, and you may’t enter her home until you’re good enough friends with her. However, she visits the Saloon enough to counteract that deficit.
10Emily
Gemstones
Emilyloves a variety of gemstones, which makes her relatively easy to romance; you have to unlock the mines and start to work your way through to get gems, but once you do, Emily is all yours. you may even put one of the gems in the Crystalarium and have endless gifts for her.
Emily works at the Saloon and spends a decent amount of time at home, so she’s easy to find. Emily is very friendly, and easy to talk to, so romancing her is a fun ride.
9Abigail
Pumpkin and Amethyst
Abigailis the next easiest NPC to romance; she’sin Pierre’s shopin the morning, so you can wander in and talk to her once she’s out of her room, and she has fairly easy-loved gifts: Pumpkin and Amethyst. You can get Amethysts in the local mines, and use a Crystalarium to have endless gifts for Abigail.
Before that, you can plant a ton of pumpkins on your farm, and give her two a week. The only thing that’s hard about Abigail is that she wanders around to a lot of different areas throughout the week, so if you miss her in the morning, she can be a bit tougher to track down.
8Sam
Pizza and Cola
Samhas a couple more barriers; the first is that you can’t enter his home before 9:00 AM, and then he spends a lot of time in his room, which you can’t get into until you’ve befriended him a certain amount. However, when you do find him, you can just give him endless pizzas.
Pizza is always available at the Saloon, and Sam is there on Fridays, which makes it an easy-loved gift. He also likes Jojo cola and eggs, which are also fairly easy to get within the game.
7Harvey
Coffee Lover
Harvey’s clinic isan easy location to enter, and luckily,Harveyis often there. He has some loved gifts that you can’t get until later in the game, such as wine, but he also loves coffee, which is very easy to get.
He has a lot of likes, including almost all fruit, and tons of the foragable items. The only difficulty with Harvey is that the clinic closes at 3 pm, which is a bit on the earlier side, which only gives you six hours to give him gifts unless you want to chase him down.
6Sebastian
Works From Home
Sebastianis one of the bachelors who is more in the middle when it comes to difficulty. He works from home, and spends a lot of time in his bedroom, which makes it harder to romance him at the beginning of the game.
However, Sebastian is fairly easy to romance once you’ve gotten him up a few hearts. Get your hands on frozen tears or obsidian, and make a Crystalarium, and you’re good to go, and once you unlock Sashimi, it’s theeasiest recipe to make, and another one of Sebastian’s loved gifts.
5Haley
Sunflower Girly
The simplest thing about romancingHaleyis that she loves Sunflowers. Sunflowers are the best flowers to grow because they are available in multiple seasons, and when you harvest them, they give you sunflower seeds, making it an endless cycle of flowers.
Haley does move around, but she spends a decent amount of time near the lake in Cindersap Forest or near the fountain by the Community Center.
4Penny
Separated Sweetheart
Pennydoesn’t interact with the other NPCs very often, which means you have to hunt her down a bit more. She’s usually with the children, but when she’s done teaching them, you have to search for her.
Penny has a mix of difficult and easy gifts, and you can harvest Melons, but creating a Poppyseed Muffin requires an upgraded house and more ingredients. If you really want to pursue Penny, make as many muffins as you can, and hoard your diamonds.
3Elliott
Isolation And Gifts
Elliottis one of the more difficult bachelors to romance, but he’s isolated from everyone else at the Beach, which means you have to go out of your way to find him. He spends a decent amount of time at home writing, which makes it difficult to run into him.
Elliott has a lot of gifts that are difficult to obtain, such as squid ink, crab cakes, or pomegranates. He also has less liked gifts than most of the other NPCs,and they are hard fish, such as Octopus and Squid.
