Summary
Even though theFalloutgames are action RPGs, they also encompass the open-world genre due totheir vast game maps. If you’re familiar with open-world games, you should know they can have some long, grindy, or dastardly achievements, and Fallout has plenty of them.
On the bright side, Fallout 4 and Shelter aren’t too bad, but the same cannot be said for the other games, including the live-service title Fallout 76. Live-service titles are notorious for their brutal completion progress to obtain every single achievement, and Fallout 76 is no different.

Completed “The Nuka-Cola Challenge”
With Nuka-Cola being the most famous fictional product in the Fallout universe, it makes sense that an entire quest is built around it in Fallout 3. In Girdershade, a character named Sierra will task you with collecting 30 Nuka-Cola Quantum. These are placed throughout the entire game map, and if you just play casually, this achievement quest could be your final one.
They’re very well hidden, but you can get the Quantum Chemist perk from the Broken Steel DLC, which makes this quest a lot easier. An important note here is that if you have 30 Quantum on you when you first talk to Sierra, do not give them to her right away. This can cause a bug where she won’t give you the Nuka Grenade schematic, which you need for another achievement.

9All The Level Related Karma Achievements: Fallout 3
A Total Pain
Achievement hunters don’t like multiple playthroughs. If they can grab all the achievements in one, they would, and while you technically can in Fallout 3, it requires some expert-level planning. If you screw up, you’ll have to do multiple playthroughs. For completion, you’ll need to reach levels eight, 14, 20, and 30 with good, bad, and neutral karma, respectively.
Getting them in one playthrough is more complicated than just saving before you level up and killing a bunch of people. That’ll give you a few extra achievements but not a good enough plan to get them all, and you’ll have to do another playthrough. The complexity of these achievements just makes them a hassle.

Made one of every custom weapon
You’ll have to create all seven custom weapons for this achievement, and finding the schematics isn’t actually too bad. If you’re already going for the platinum, you should get all of them naturally as you progress. The issue is the ingredients themselves.

Some of the oddest components are needed for these weapons, and you’ll probably have to go on a treasure hunt to find all 27 required for building. You’ll definitely want to use an item guide here so you can complete this achievement as quickly as possible. At least the weaponsare great and cool to play with, so that’s a nice reward.

Healed 10,000 points of damage with food.
One of the most boring achievements in the Fallout series has to be Desert Survivalist. You’ll have to restore 10,000 points of damage using food items, and the most consistent foolproof way to do this is within New Vegas Steel.
There are some enemies that need to be dispatched, but once you’ve got the area cleared out, you’ll want to make use of the glowing steel. This is how you’ll damage yourself, so you can continue to eat and always regain health points. It takes an absurdly long time to reach that 10,000 threshold, so get your podcasts ready.

Win 30 games of Caravan.
You know an achievement’s bad when following the guide is challenging on its own. Caravan is the card side game of New Vegas, and you must win 30 times. You probably think this won’t be too bad, as something like Gwent in Witcher 3 was easy once you got the hang of it. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
Aguide’s required here, but there are so many steps and intricacies that following it takes some serious brain power to understand. That’s so rare in gaming, and Caravan isn’t even a puzzle. Even thegame’s director has commentedthat Caravan isn’t that hard, but clearly, the achievement ratio would disagree with that.

Play the game from start to finish in Hardcore Mode.
Exclusive to Fallout: New Vegas is Hardcore mode. The name’s fitting, as the mode transforms the entire game and makes you play significantly different. This mode offers three new systems that force you to eat, sleep, and drink regularly, or else you’ll suffer serious side effects.
Many healing mechanics also got nerfed, and ammunition now has weight, adding even more annoyance to your carrying capacity. All of this will be a rude awakening, but it’s actually quite fun once you give the mode a try. It adds more depth to the gameplay, and on the bright side, you can simply rush straight through to the end if you want.

Complete any three Gun Runners' Arsenal (GRA) three star (***) Challenges.
The Gun Runners' Arsenal DLC adds a bunch of extra weapons and challenges. You must complete three one-star, two-star, and three-star challenges, and you have to be using GRA weapons to beat them.

Finishing these challenges isn’t that bad if you’re using a guide, but the problem is buying the weapons themselves because they cost a fortune. You have to save money here because certain challenges require different weapon types. Buying multiple GRA weapons costs a ton, so make sure not to spend a lot of money throughout the game so you can get these achievements.
Reach Maximum Happiness in a Large Settlement
Fallout 4 is one of the easier achievement lists, but there’s one that everybody hates, and that’s Benevolent Leader. You’ll need to reach maximum happiness in asettlement, and the best oneto do that with is the Red Rocket Truck Stop. You only need one settler here, along with some defenses, and make sure to fill the size bar to near maximum.
From now on, you just wait in the settlement for the happiness bar to rise. This will take a ton of time, and no, you can’t leave the settlement; otherwise, the happiness meter will drop. It doesn’t matter if you wait or continuously sleep, it’ll still take roughly the same amount of time. Not a fun experience at all.

Build 5 casino games in your CAMP.
From the Atlantic City - Boardwalk Paradise update to Fallout 76 comes The House Always Wins, one of the hardest achievements in the game. It sounds simple enough; you just have to make five casino games.
Once again, however, you need a schematic first, or plans as they’re called in 76. These casino game plans are random drops, so you’ll need to be lucky here. If you’re not finding success, you could simply buy the High Stakes Bundle for $30 and get your tools there. You’ll have to hurt your time or your wallet: pick your poison.

Kill 100 Overgrown with fire
The other hardest achievement in Fallout 76 is Weed Killer. Like with The House Always Wins, it would seem easy, but of course, it had to be more complicated than just killing Overgrown enemies with fire. This achievement is incredibly finicky with what counts as a fire weapon. You would think every type of Flamer would work since flame is literally in the name, but that’s not the case.
What’s worse is that this achievement doesn’t track either, so you may’t easily tell if your fire weapon counts. It’s best to look up beforehand what weapons are working for people to get this achievement because you don’t want to realize your weapon doesn’t count after killing well over 100 Overgrown.
