Not long after you land in the world ofWuthering Wavesas the Rover, you’ll be greeted by Yangyang and Chixia waking you up. The former will also be the first playable character you’ll acquire apart from the main character, which already makes her easily accessible for every player.
Yangyang is a four-star Aero unit using a sword as her weapon. She has some unique abilities that allow her to function as both a support and aDPS based on your play style, and you have different builds for each one.

Best Yangyang Weapons
Most characters suffer from a lack of weapon choices in Wuthering Waves, especially during the early game. Thankfully,Yangyang isn’t one of them, since she has quite a variety of choices:
Emerald Of Genesis
This is by far the best weapon you can have for Yangyang, both for her DPS and support build. It gives aton of stats including Energy Regen, ATK, and Crit Rate. Being a five-star weapon, this also has higher base stats than normal.
Commando Of Conviction
Another good overall weapon to use on this character is Commando of Conviction, asit gives you an ATK boostwhenever Yangyang uses her Intro Skill.
She needs to use this Skill to get her melody stacks as well, which works out perfectly.

Lumingloss
If you want to have the best sword for Yangyang’s DPS play style, this is the one. Upon using your Skill, you get a20 percent Basic and Heavy Attack DMG bonus, which is where most of her damage comes from.
Scale: Slasher
On the other hand, this is the best weapon for her support play style as it lets herrecharge her Concerto much faster, helping you utilize her Outro Skill.
Sword Of Night
Finally, if you have none of the above weapons, you can use thisthree-star variant of Command of Conviction.
Yangyang Echo Guide
Echoes can be both the easiest and the hardest parts of building Yangyangdepending on how lucky you get. You’ll have to use a specific echo set depending on your play style:
Sierra Gale
Feilian Beringal
This echo set and the main echo focus on giving Yangyang as much Aero DMG as possible, increasing her overall damage output.
Moonlit Clouds
Impermanence Heron
On the other hand, this set focuses on Yangyang giving a ton of ATK boost to the unit she switches to, whichworks perfectly with the Scale: Slasher sword.
Echo Stat Priority
Each echo in Wuthering Waves gives you aspecific main stat when you get them apart from the flat main statthat’s permanent. You should be looking for these stats depending on your build:
Common (Cost 1)
ATK Percent
Other than the main stats, you should look for as muchBasic Attack DMG, Heavy Attack DMG, Crit, and Energy Regenon the sub-stats as possible.
Best Team Members For Yangyang
You can use up to three characters in every team in Wuthering Waves, and their main synergyrelies on the Intro and OutroSkills of these characters. Depending on the play style you’re going for, here are the best synergies for Yangyang:
Verina/Baizhi
These characters are a staple for almost every team because oftheir overall damage bonus and healing.
Sanhua
When you use Sanhua’s Outro Skill, she can buff the nextcharacter’s Basic Attack DMG, which works perfectly for Yangyang.
Mortefi
On the other hand, Mortefi’s Outro Skill canbuff a character’s Heavy Attack DMG, which is the part of Yangyang’s kit that deals the highest damage.
Aalto
Finally, for a DPS Yangyang, Aalto can also be a good team member as he buffs acharacter’s Aero DMG Bonuswith his Outro Skill.
Jiyan
If you’re planning to use Yangyang as a support for her massive Energy Regeneration with the Outro Skill, Jiyan is one of the best candidates for this buff.
Yangyang Forte Priority
During the early game, the most time-consuming step while building Yangyang will be her forte. You need to upgrade these abilities to increase her damage and get ahigher buff from her echoes, weapons, and team members. To get started, you can focus on her Basic Attack since this is the best way to get her melodies.
Follow this up with her Forte Circuit since her melody’s damage multipliers are here, and you can then upgrade her Skill. Finally, upgrade her Intro Skill and Resonance Liberation whenever you can to get a bit of extra damage. You’ll have to, however, unlock both her Inherent Skills as fast as you can.
