Easy To Find

Soda Pop Shells come in handy as it’s extremely easy to find them dotted around, especially after you pop the soda machine in the intro of the game. They are likely your first shell to find and are reliable, as you can find them inevery location around the ocean.

They offer some defense, which is always needed, but it’s perfect as an easy-to-find main shell to put yourself into and, if they break, there is likely one nearby to grab too.

9Party Hat Shell

It’s Always Party Time

The Party Hat Shell can be first found on the puffer fish who is tied to a balloon weight in The Shallows. It’s quite a sad one to see, but once you’ve beaten this angry puffer, you can obtain the shell.

The Party Hat Shell does a bit of extra damage from a further range than your fork melee attacks, which is extremely useful on bosses and large enemies alike. Having that extra range can be the difference between avoiding attacks and getting a hit in here and there.

Extra Food

Banana Peels are often found just on the floor of the ocean, in The Shallows. It’s not a hard shell to come by! Once you pick them up, you may actually eat them.

Eating the Banana Peel Shell can restore a bunch of your health, so it’s worth picking them up even if you aren’t going to be wearing them. This shell is also a weakness for one of the morechallenging bosses.

7Sauce Nozzle Shell

Spin Attack!

The Sauce Nozzle Shell may look quite small, but it really packs a punch. If you put on this shell, you are able to do a special spin attack. This is very powerful, especially when you are being hunted by a group of enemies.

If you are caught in a corner or have a fish continuously attacking you, spinning and then rolling out of the way is the perfect escape route, so this shell is also great for those who aren’t good at violence. You can find this shell in New Carcinia Reef’s Edge.

6Thimble Shell

Grandma’s Treasure

The Thimble Shell, found in New Carcinia — Reef’s Edge, looks sturdy and reliable — and that’s because it is. It’s a smaller shell with good defense attached to it, but it also has a fantastic ability.

When wearing the Thimble Shell, you are able to take three blocked hits without getting any shell damage. If you save your Unmami for this ability, you will be far more likely to survive when attacking larger monsters.

Roll Around The Ocean

The Tennis Ball Shell is basically a ripped open Tennis Ball, which can be found in New Carcinia — Reef’s Edge. This shell allows you to roll around, which can be used to escape enemies, get closer to enemies, or just travel more quickly through the ocean.

Wearing a Tennis Ball Shell will clearly be a future way to speedrun Another Crab’s Treasure, but for now, it’s a good attacking technique that can also help you run away if you are getting overwhelmed.

4Conchiglie Shell

A Pasta?!

Conchiglie Shell is literally a piece of pasta. Despite being soaked in the ocean, it’s got a low weight and high durability, so it can be useful to wear.

If you are in a pinch, you can also consume this shell to gain some more health, giving you a bit of a boost. This gives you a few options when it comes to wearing it and eating it! This Shell can be purchased from Shellfish Desires.

Another Crab’s Treasure Baby Shoe in the Shell Collection Screen

3Baby Shoe Shell

It’s A Little Shoe

The Baby Shoe has a decent amount of defense and a good attack bonus, making it a very useful shell, especially with how durable it is.

If you die with the Baby Shoe on your crab, you can revive, which is extremely useful. The only real downside is that this shell is heavy, so dodging isn’t something you can rely on and, instead, you need to get good at blocking. You can purchase the Baby Shoe from Shellfish Desires.

Another Crab’s Treasure shell Lil' Red Cup

2Lil' Red Cup Shell

It’s A Plastic Shot Glass

The Lil' Red Cup Shell is a bit unique in that its ability is quite tricky to perform well, but when you do, it makes all the difference. This shell allows you to use the move Drunken Claw, which increases your attack for a short amount of time, but worsens your dodge roll and dulls your senses.

It’s basically like being confidently drunk, able to attack something easily, but probably not dodge or really see well. If you manage to master this shell, found in The Sands Between, you will find yourself really packing a punch.
