Summary
So, you’re stuck being on the run after being accused of casual regicide against the prince of a tyrannical queen. What do you do? Do you stay on the run and hide within the queen’s shadow, looking over your shoulder for the rest of your days? Or, do you fight back? You won’t be doing it alone. Soon, you’ll have the whole of Karvenia.
Every villager who joins your ranks must play their part to fulfill to make your dreams of rebellion a reality. Let’s face it, some professions will get all the glory and renown, while others will sadly only serve to keep you alive. It’s up to you to decide who works as what, so why not check out below and find the job that fits your needs best?

9Laborer
All The Hard Work, None Of The Glory
Your conquest for freedom isn’t going to have a good startif no one is willing to get their hands dirty in this open-world survivor game; you’ll need someone to pick up the trash, clean up after animals, and make sure the buildings that you leave behind are kept running in their best shape. Yet, despite all the hard work it takes to get all this done, it remains a thankless job,
Laborers assist most other professions in the area with their specific jobs, and they are the backbone of any profession that you get to join your team. Alas, their low base stats and lack of any type of specialization hold them back from being higher in rank.

8Innkeeper
Catch A Rest And Have A Meal
It’s not surprising that during your downtime, you’re going to want to kick your feet up and relax for a little while, sincethe rebellion isn’t going to be won in a day, after all. Maybe you’ll check out the sights or even talk to some of the villagers you’ve recruited along the way, and another great way to recoup some morale is to install an inn in any of your villages.
The biggest drawback for Innkeeper is how long you have to wait to get them; you’ll find them in Farnworth, meaning you’ll have to liberate at least two other areas before the place becomes available to save. It’s a long time to wait for that much-needed food cellar.

7Engineer
Infrastructure and Architecture
Each profession in the game works towards the same goal but will need their individual stats and talents to shine through if they are going to move beyond apprentice. If you want to rest in your luxurious cottage, then you’re going to need to hunt down the Engineer apprentice in Horndean as soon as you free it from its captors.
So let’s say you go through the whole quest line, find your apprentice, and get them fully trained. What is it that you unlock? Only one of the fancier houses you can build for yourself! Just be sure to clear the area of Brigands fully before settling down.

6Healer
Create The Balms That Soothe You
In the war against the evil queen, injuries are inevitable, and you are going to need something or someone, to help you and your fighters return to full health. The first opportunity you have to gather an apothecary for yourselves is in the town of Bradford, but you may want to wait for an apprentice with better stats in Farnworth.
Once unlocked and in your roster, the healer can research much-needed healing potions that will make or break any outing that you go out on. Even though you may only get them after liberating Farnworth, you still shouldn’t procrastinate on doing so.

5Woodsman
Crafter Of Bows That May Turn The Tide
Combat can take some getting used to. The sword as your weapon is serviceable and will get you through a fight, but if you try and only rely on this one type of weapon, you’re soon going to find yourself quickly overwhelmed by even just two fighters trying to end your rebellion campaign before you are ready.
However, liberating Padstow will unlock your first Woodsman apprentice and will grant you several things; the sawmill, a way to get more wood, is fine, but that bow? Bows will allow you to put some distance between the soldiers while gradually ticking their damage down. A quick escape, or a quick assault, you won’t be able to do it without the woodsman.

4Carpenter
The Other, Other Woodworker
Where are you supposed to place your foraged goods, such as berries and mushrooms, in a time when refrigeration is nothing but a pipe dream? You can just leave them in barrels all across your land. The outlaws will certainly take all you have. Don’t worry, the village of Padstow has what you need for your food.
The carpenter, while not as sought out for as the blacksmith or the weaver, has an important place in providing one of the most important things to a village: a place to preserve your food. Treat your carpenter with care, or your food will rot.

3Farmer
His Bees Bring All The Cakes To The Yard
Hey, how would you like to have your very own apiary? An endless supply of honey and beeswax at your disposal? Well, maybe you won’t be harvesting beeswax to make candles anytime soon, but an endless supply of honey you’re able to take on your travels. But, that’s not all that comes from the honey you gather.
Honey Cakes! These miraculous morsels will provide you with ample health and energy while you’re traveling through the land and give you more stamina, so you may run faster. The biggest boon hiding behind the farmer’s cakes is the 40 percent boost in skill experience you get after consuming one.

2Weaver
The Masters Of The Loom
Armor isn’t the only clothing you have to worry about in the game; you’re going to have to keep all your villagers clothed and fitted with the appropriate gear for them to contribute to the village to the best of their abilities. How else do you expect your laborers to carry all of that lumber and items that they are collecting?
Your best bet to unlocking this profession is in the liberated town of Haerndean. As far as raids go in this game, this is one of your ‘easier’ assaults on the queen’s soldiers, so saving the townsfolk and securing your first apprentice will make all your other liberation attempts all the easier.

1Blacksmith
The Real Heart Of Your Rebellion
The blacksmith is the end-all-be-all of your rebellion. It makes sense that in the game, they are one of the first apprentices you unlock after all. You aren’t going to get very far without the weapons, armor, and materials that are hidden within the Blacksmith’s knowledge.
Not to mention, that without unlocking this medieval lynchpin of your army, you’re able to’t unlock other recipes, so that forge touches every part of your encampment. How else are you going to take down the evil of the crown and clear your name with a strong, sturdy mace?
