As you progress throughAnother Crab’s Treasure, you’ll need to level up your skills to defeat the stronger and stronger enemies that you will face. to level up your skills, you’re going to need to accumulate lots and lots of Microplastics. You can get them from enemies pretty much everywhere in the game, but there are some locations where you’re able to easily farm them.
The best farming locations are in the Shoals. As you explore the Shoals, you’ll come across lots of crabs and fish who will try to take you out. Here’s all the best places to find them.
What Are Microplastics?
Microplastics can be used to upgrade your statsand level up Kril; every time you upgrade a stat,the amount of Microplastics you need to upgrade again goes up.These arerewards you can obtain by defeating enemiesand bosses in the overworld, which can include crabs, fish, and lobsters.
There are enough of them scattered throughout the map that they’re pretty easy to find anywhere, butthere are a few places where they’re more concentrated than others.Most of these locations are aroundartificial structures like sand towers and arches,and a lot of them can be found in the seagrass as well.
Upgrades can be made at Moon Snail’s Cave, andthe cost of each upgrade applies to every stat.If you die before you can make it back to a Moon Snail’s Cave, you’ll lose all of them, butif you go back to the place where you last died, you’ll be able to pick them all back up.
If you die before you can reach it though, they will be lost forever.
If you’ve cleared out a nearby area of enemies and don’t want to venture too far away from a Moon Snail’s Cave, or the rest of the enemies are too tough for you, there’s something easy you can do to continue farming;return to the closest Moon Snail’s Cave, go to the menu, and click Die Instantly.The enemies will respawn, andthe trash you’ve collected so far will be nearby so you can recollect it.
Microplastics Farming Locations In The Lower Shoals
Here are all the best places to farm Microplastics in the lower part of the Shoals.

Asandcastlewith crabs and lobster enemies hanging out around it. These enemies are armoured, and the easiest way to reach this is by using your grappling hook on the banners in front of it.

In a caveat the very bottom of the map. You will have tobreak the glass bottlesto fully reach all the enemies. Crabs are the only ones found in this location.

Between two sand arches.Crabs are mostly what can be found here, though there are some fish as well.
Microplastics Farming Locations In The Middle Shoals
Here are all the best places to farm Microplastics in the middle part of the Shoals.
In thegrass close to a sand arch.You will find mostly fish here.
On thetwo rocks with a flip flop bridging them.There are also two towers on either side of the rocks. You will find fish and crabs here.
Between therusted pipe and a sand tower.There are fish found in this area, mostly in the grass.

Near acombwest of the path.There are only fish here.
Microplastics Farming Locations In The Upper Shoals
Unlike the other parts of the Shoals, the farming locations in the upper part of the Shoals can only be found on theright side of the map.There are not that many enemies on the left side of the map, so it’s not worth heading over there.
On the path to the vending machine.There are both crabs and fish found in this location.
In the grass around some flip flops.This spot is located in a little valley below location one. You can find both fish and crabs here.
In a small crevice with two sand towers.This is one of thebest places to farm Microplastics.Fish and crabs can be found here.
After returning to the castle from the Moon Caves,it will be crawling with crabs and lobsters wherever you go.
Microplastics Farming Locations In The Moon Caves
There’s only one good place to farm Microplastics in the Moon Caves because of the way this area is designed, and that’s near the entrance.
The easiest place to farm Microplastics in the Moon Caves is on therock pillars and platforms near the entrance of the cave.If you go much further than the first cave,you will have an extremely difficult time making it back to the Moon Shell,meaning that you won’t be able to use your Microplastics to upgrade your stats. Furthermore, if you die in the second part of the cave, you’ll have a hard time getting all those Microplastics back.Crabsare the only enemies found here
