Summary
Team building is one of the core mechanics ofHonkai: Star Rail, and you won’t be able to beat the endgame contents without having proper synergies in your team unless you whale for those Eidolons on every DPS character. You can create a team of four characters at a time and face up to five enemies.
It’s quite easy to build a team around some characters, while others can be niche and difficult. Thankfully, Robin is in the former category, and she’s agreat Physical Harmony characterto have on your account no matter the roster.

Combat Type
Fire
Himeko’s position in the meta has been quite a roller coaster, especially after the release of the Pure Fiction game mode. However, she saw an upward trend after Robin’s release as one of the best types of characters you can use with this beautiful singer are the units that contain any sort of follow-up attack.
During Robin’s Ultimate, she can launch an extra attack every time one of her allies attack the enemy, which counts every follow-up attack done. However, in our experience, this team synergy only works when you’re fighting a horde of enemies and not just a single-target boss.

Wind
Black Swan’s and Robin’s synergy can be quite interesting since this wouldn’t be a duo you’d normally think works together. However, whenever Black Swan launches any type of attacks, she can stack her Arcana on the enemies, which can go up to a whopping 99 stacks.
She loses these stacks once the enemy gets a turn and takes Arcana DoT (unless you have the Ultimate effect on them). The advance action from Robin’s Ultimate can help her build a lot more of these stacks, and the ATK bonus also increases her overall damage.

Physical
Whileshe might be a four-star, Sushang can be one of the strongest single-target DPS units on your account if built properly. She deals a ton of damage through her Skill and Ultimate while also giving herself an extra turn every time you use the latter. You can probably already see the synergy here after hearing that.
Both Sushang’s and Robin’s Ultimate can give her extra turns in this way, which increases her damage output by quite a lot. Moreover, since they both have the same combat type, you can use the Penacony ornament set or Planetary Rendezvous Light Cone on Robin to get extra buffs.

If you were to pull on Robin’s banner and lose your 50:50, Clara would probably be the best character to lose to. She’s another Physical character who can launch various follow-up attacks whenever she or her team member gets attacked in certain situations.
Upon getting lucky, you may have her triggering various follow-up attacks in the same turn, which also helps Robin trigger a lot more damage instances. This combination will give you some of the most value in the game, especially when you put them alongside other specific units.

Out ofall the DPS units in Honkai: Star Rail, Argenti has one of the highest damage dealt with the Ultimate. However, he’s held back by the fact that he needs to get a whopping 180 Energy to activate this. This can be nullified to an extent with certain supports like Tingyun or Huohuo.
With the release of Robin, Argenti got an additional choice for a decent support since the movement advance from her Ultimate can help him attack more often and regenerate more Energy. Moreover, against a horde of small opponents, you can keep using the first level of his Ultimate and allow Robin to launch extra attacks.

Imaginary
The entire community was brimming with joy when Honkai: Star Rail decided to give a free copy of Dr. Ratio to everyone logging in during certain versions. If you were one of these people, congratulations, you have one of the best units to put alongside Robin.
Whenever Dr. Ratio uses his Skill, he has a chance of triggering a follow-up attack. Both these damage instances count as separate damages, giving Robin two hits as well. Moreover, his extra follow-ups from the Ultimate also work the same way.

Ice
March 7th has been a great sustainer choice for people who can’t afford to pull for five-star sustainers, but her value increased a lot more with Robin’s release. Whenever you use her Skill, she can provide a massive shield to one of her allies, and you’re able to have these shields on multiple allies at once.
During each turn, she can trigger two follow-up attacks whenever an ally with a shield gets attacked, which also allows Robin to deal some damage. This, when combined with the likes of Clara and Aventurine, can make for quite a satisfying team punishing enemies for getting a turn.
