Whenever a new gacha game with a bunch of characters and team synergies gets released, there’s always that one character who stands out in their supporting abilities. ForWuthering Waves, this character happens to be Mortefi because of the amount of utility he can bring to the battlefield.
He’s a four-star pistol user who deals Fusion DMG, and the best part about his kit is the ability to deal a ton of off-field damage while also buffing his allies. With the right build, you’re able to easily use him in almost every team out there.
Best Mortefi Weapons
Apart from being the best support, Mortefi is also one of the easiest characters to builddue to the sheer amount of weapons you can use on him. There aren’t a lot of weapon choices for most characters in the game, but of course, the developers' favorite support had to be different:
Static Mist
This is a five-star weapon that works the best for this character. Apart from giving him some Energy Regen and Crit Rate, it also lets himprovide some extra ATK to the character you switch towith his outro skill.
Cadenza
Being able to use Mortefi’s outro skill as fast as possible is important, and this weapon helps in that byproviding extra Concerto Energy.
Thunderbolt
If you’re trying to playMortefi as a sub-DPSwho stays on the field for a bit, you can use this weapon to gain some Skill DMG.
Undying Flame
This is another weapon that increaseshis Resonance Skill DMG massively, but you’ll have to use his Intro Skill this time.
Novaburst
This is a general pistol that can give him a decent ATK boost upon performing a dash or a dodge. However, it’sonly worth it if you have it syntonized.
Guardian Pistols
Finally, this is the only three-star weapon you may use on Mortefi, and itincreases his Skill DMG by quite a bit.

While building a unit in Wuthering Waves, it’s highly important to focus on theirecho sets and the main echo abilities, and here are the best ones for Mortefi:

This is the best build for Mortefi as it lets him deal a ton of damage,especially after you use his Resonance Skill. This character can use his Skill quite often, making perfect synergy.
Moonlit Clouds

If you want to use Mortefi entirely as a support, you can use this set, whichallows him to give even more buffsto the main DPS.
Best Team Members For Mortefi
As mentioned above, the highlight of Mortefi’s kit is the Heavy Attack DMG boost he gives when his outro skill is activated. So, some of the best team members you can use with him are the characters thatrely on Heavy Attack DMG like Jiyan, Calcharo, and Jianxin.
However, if you want to try using him as a main DPS, you’ll need someone who can buff his Resonance Skill DMG as that’s his main source,which works perfectly for Taoqi. You can also use overall buffers like Verina or Baizhi to increase his damage further.
Mortefi Forte Priority
One thing about Wuthering Waves is that even thesupport characters like Mortefirequire quite a lot of investment. You’ll first have to upgrade his Forte Circuit since the damage he deals with his enhanced Resonance Skill scales on this. Right after that, you’d want to go for his Liberation to increase the coordinated attack damage.
you may technically stop here if you’re building him purely for support,but you’ll be missing a lot of damage. It’s recommended to upgrade all his abilities if you can, but Basic Attack is also fairly important since you build his Forte bar with them.
