Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3has brought back some Advanced Warfare weapons in its Season 3 update. One such reprised weapon is the MORS, a railgun sniper rifle that can one-hit enemies from great distances. If your aim is true, you will top the scoreboard in nearly every game.
While the weapon is quite powerful on its own, the right attachments can turn the MORS into the strongest sniper rifle in MW3’s sandbox, at least on par with the Longbow. This guide will showcase the best build you’re able to use on the MORS for all multiplayer modes and Warzone.
How To Unlock The MORS
The MORS sniper rifle is unlocked inSector C12 of the Battle Pass.You will need at least15 tokensto unlock this weapon, assuming you focus on unlocking this weapon right away. There are a total of19 Levelson the MORS, and it also has an aftermarket barrel that gives the weapon a charge shot mechanic. You can unlock this attachment by landing 100 one-hit kills with the MORS once it’s max rank.
Once Season 3 ends, the MORS can be unlocked throughthe Armory Unlock system. This system is available as early as Level 25.
Pros And Cons
The MORS is a devastating sniper for quickscoping if you focus entirely onADS speed,although this will come at the cost of flinch resistance. If you miss your first shot, there’s a good chance you’ll lose the fight. But with an ADS speed of 387ms and a one-hit kill to the torso and up, the MORS is extremely competitive at just about every engagement range.
Installing theMors Dot Sightwill replace the high-zoom scope with a red dot optic, greatly improving your ADS speed in the process. TheSuperlite-90 Stockis effectively the MORS' take on a no stock attachment, greatly improving your mobility and handling stats at the cost of aiming stability and flinch resistance.
If you prefer the Photonic Charge Barrel’s charge mechanic, feel free to replace the Downfall Light Barrel with the Photonic Charge Barrel.
Throw on theOP-980 GripandDownfall Light Barrelto lower your ADS to 387ms. Throw on your favorite underbarrel or theQuick Boltto finish the build. If you plan on using the Mag Holster perk, the Quick Bolt isn’t required.
Loadout Recommendations
While this weapon isn’t suppressed, a stealth build will give you an edge in just about every gunfight. We use theCompression Vestto gain the effects of Quick-Fix, a perk from MW2 that begins HP regeneration after you kill an enemy. We then useGhostandCovert Sneakersto hide our radar pings and muffle our footsteps. Finally,Quick-Grip Gloveswill allow you to immediately swap weapons when the MORS doesn’t quite cut it.
Since the Compression Carrier lacks a Tactical and Field Upgrade, we only have a Lethal slot to work with.Throwing Knivesare great for a quick one-hit kill, both as a ranged attack and a quick melee attack. For secondary weapons,theRenettiandWSP Stingerare good options for CQC.
