Summary

In a way, vanillaMinecraftalready offers you powers, such as console commands that can summon lightning bolts, equippable Elytra that effectively allow endless flight when paired with fireworks, or Ender Pearls, which would enable teleportation when thrown. Mods, however, can take powers to an entirely new level.

Although the definition of “powers” can vary, we’re defining this term as any mod that augments your character’s ability to survive, fight, or otherwise progress through the game with the help of magic, spells, trinkets, enhanced attributes, like movement speed or damage, shapeshifting, and… well, let’s stop with all the semantics; why not try these mods out yourself?

8Elenai Dodge 2

A Precious Dark Souls Mechanic

If you’re looking to spice up combat in a way that essentially feels illegal compared to the base game, then you’ll love Elenai Dodge 2, which gives you the power to dive and roll around in different directions by either double tapping a movement key, or holding down Left-Alt and moving.

Just like in Dark Souls and other, similar games, your dodge ability will be impacted by the weight of any armor you’re wearing, and can’t be infinitely spammed; that’s right, you’ll have a stamina bar to be mindful of.

7Nameless Trinkets

They Don’t Need Names To Be Useful

Instead of going through the trouble of pillaging a bunch ofEnd Cities for their loot, you could download this mod instead, which allows you to find or craft all kinds of useful, magical trinkets. Looking for a few examples? Consider these trinkets:

There are plenty of other trinkets and upgrades to discover, but we’ll leave that up to you. Don’t let all that power get to your head.

6Potion Rings Reforged

Permanent Potion Effects Are Much More Cost-Effective

There are all kinds ofincredibly useful potionsyou can craft in the game, but the only downside is that the bonuses and effects they provide are temporary. With the Potion Rings Reforged mod, you’ll be able to imbue rings that provide permanent potion effects when worn.

While it’s pretty lame we can’t make rings like this in real life, you’ll still have plenty of fun zooming around your Minecraft world with a permanent speed boost, fighting mobs with enhanced damage, or sneaking around like Frodo with an invisibility ring.

5Chidori Origins Collection

Which Element Will You Choose?

While this mod doesn’t appear to be referring to the Chidori you might be familiar with from Naruto, it still provides four elemental powers to choose from: Air, Land, Aqua, and Dark. Perhaps it’s best to think of these powers in an Avatar The Last Airbender kind of way.

4Origins

Harness The Power Of Other Mobs

Become an Enderian and teleport aroundlike a mob from the End, a Merling that can breathe underwater and swim faster, Or an Avian that has permanent slow falling. If those origins don’t pique your interest, this mod still has six other options to pick from.

Origins feels mostly balanced since each choice has pros and cons, and is vanilla-friendly, at least thematically. If you’re looking for more extreme options, there are a decent number of add-ons for this mod that will expand on what you can start with.

3Sekwah41’s Naruto Mod

Yes, You Can Make Shadow Clones

Double jumping, shadow clones, substitution jutsus, kunai, shuriken, paper bombs, village headbands, Anbu masks, and so much more; Sekwah41’s Naruto Mod is all you need to become a fully-fledged ninja in Minecraft. With Sharingan and other unique traits, you may roleplay as most of your favorite characters.

You won’t just have Creepers or Skeletons to test out your new moves on either; this mod adds new mobs from the Naruto universe. Just be mindful of your chakra and stamina levels; it’d be a bit awkward to have to suddenly rely on taijutsu.

2Wizards (RPG Series)

Casting Spells With The Homies

There’s something inherently alluring about wizards, casting spells, and performing sorcery or rituals in RPG games. Although to be fair, who doesn’t want to command the elements at their fingertips, make alchemical concoctions, or turn their enemies into sheep from time to time?

With this mod, you’ll be able to make staves that are charged with runes, utilize spell books and tomes that let you cast more powerful spells, craft magical equipment, gain access to brand-new enchantments, find modded items in dungeons, and a lot more.

1Saitama - One Punch Man

No Mob Will Withstand Your Might

If you’re familiar with this quirky, bald, but loveable protagonist, then you know he packs one hell of a punch; who knew a vigorous training regimen that’s so strenuous it makes your hair fall out could effectively make you a god?

With this mod, so long as you’re able to get two Eyes of Ender, two Diamond blocks, two blocks of Obsidian, an Emerald block, and a Totem of Undying, you’ll be able to make a red boxing glove that gives you 17 Saitama-themed abilities.
