Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3has added a powerful aftermarket part to the Lockwood MK2, a lever-action rifle that was originally released in MW2 2022. This attachment converts the weapon into an akimbo set of lever-action shotguns, similar to the Model 1887s from the original Modern Warfare 2.
Once you unlock this attachment, you will be able to convert your Lockwood into one of MW3’s strongest shotguns. This guide will explain how you can earn the JAK Wardens conversion kit for the Lockwood, and we’ll showcase two powerful builds you can use in core Multiplayer, Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ), and Warzone.

How To Unlock The JAK Wardens
The JAK Wardens are unlocked through theWeekly Challenges system. You must completeany five challenges from the fifth week of Season 3to unlock this conversion kit. Once unlocked, it may be equipped on the Lockwood MK2, a lever-action marksman rifle originally earned in MW2. You can unlock this weapon through the Armory Unlocks system if you don’t own it.
After Season 3 ends, this attachment should be moved to the Armory Unlocks system. Check the weapon attachment on the Lockwood MK2 to see if there are any additional challenges you need to complete.
Buckshot JAK Wardens Build
We do not use additional attachments because they’re detrimental or irrelevant to this build. You can install a x8 sniper scope on the JAK Wardens if you want to have a laugh, but they do absolutely nothing for the Wardens.
This build turns the JAK Wardens into the pre-nerf Model 1887s from the original MW2. There are only two attachments you need for this build to work: theVerdant Hook Cylindrical Laser and the Crown Breaker Choke.
Both attachments have such high hipfire accuracy modifiers that theymultiply to give youzerospread.Your pellets will despawn past roughly 20 meters, but any targets closer will die in a couple of shots. If all pellets land,it’s a one-hit kill up to 12 meters.Aim for the chest, alternate between each Warden when firing, and you’ll dominate at close quarters.
Loadout Recommendations
Since you aren’t using a suppressed weapon, it’s important to be as quick as possible. TheInfantry Vestwas buffed in Season 3 to provide a bonus to sprint-to-fire speed while tactical sprinting. We can pair this withCovert Sneakersto muffle our footstep audio while sprinting, making it quite easy to get the jump on enemies. If you’re playing small maps, runTac Maskto mitigate Stun Grenades. For larger maps, runGhostinstead.
We also recommend using theAssault Glovesperk, as they were buffed in Season 3 to provide a passive 15% hipfire accuracy buff. This stacks with everything else on the Wardens. Use theMed BoxandStimsto rapidly heal yourself, andyou’ll dominate most matches.
Perfect Accuracy JAK Wardens Build
This build is likely to get nerfed in a future patch. It is currently the only shotgun in MW3 to achieve 0.0° of spread with zero downsides.
If this gets nerfed, we suggest using the previous buckshot build. Ball ammunition should only be used if it still allows you to snipe enemies from a distance.
The title of this build isn’t hyperbole. This attachment configuration gives youzero degrees of spreadat all ranges, allowing you to snipe enemies from over 50+ meters. All you need is theVerdant Hook Cylindrical Laser and .410 Gauge Ball. Both attachments stack multiplicatively to reduce your spread to a flat zero.
To make rapid shots a little easier to control, we recommend theShred CP90muzzle to reduce reticle shake. If you wish to use a stealth variant, replace this muzzle with your choice of suppressor. Aim close to the enemy’s head with this build, as the fewer pellets and tighter spread make it fairly easy to land precision kills.
Field Upgrade
Med Box
We recommend the same build as the previous configuration. Use theInfantry Vestto improve your movement speed,Covert Sneakersto muffle your footsteps,Tac Maskto reduce the effects of Tactical items, andAssault Glovesto remove most accuracy penalties while jumping. We also recommend theMed BoxandStimsto heal after a tough gunfight.
