The most impactful feature added inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3is the conversion kit system. Players can unlock modifications for weapons that fundamentally change how the gun behaves, modifying its caliber, fire rate, or recoil pattern.
MW3’s third season has added aftermarket parts for older MW2 weapons, one of which is the M16. Its conversion kit, the JAK Patriot, is one of the most well-rounded attachments in the game. How To Unlock The JAK Patriot Kit
The JAK Patriot Kit is part of the Weekly Challenge system as of Season 3.You must complete any five challenges from theseventh Weekly Challenge setto unlock the JAK Patriot Kit.You can complete multiple challenges from Multiplayer, Warzone, and MWZ. They don’t have to be from the same playlist.
Once Season 3 ends, the JAK Patriot Kit will be added to the Armory Unlocks system. Select this weapon as your next unlock, then focus on completing Daily Challenges. Most weapons and aftermarket parts require five Daily Challenges.
Pros And Cons
The M16 can be turned into a full-auto assault rifle with theJAK Patriotconversion kit. This build uses that kit to turn the M16 into a highly accurate weapon, featuring minimal recoil and solid aiming stability for long-range fights.
We use theWrathguard Compensatorto greatly reduce the weapon’s horizontal recoil. We then use theKimaru Ryn-03 Vertical Gripto reduce the gun’s vertical recoil. Paired with theSakin ZX Grip, the M16 has virtually no recoil. Some aiming sway is present with these attachments, so we use theSZ 1mw PEQlaser to fix that. If you plan on using this weapon up close, drop the laser for any optic.
Diagonal Recoil Variant
This build variant allows you to use an optic and still features great recoil. This weapon’s recoil pattern is diagonal instead of vertical, but this shouldn’t be a major issue for controller users. Give this a try if you find the M16 troublesome to use.
Loadout Recommendations
Aggression is keyfor a weapon like this, especially since we can’t afford to run a suppressor. TheCompression Carrierallows you to initiate HP regeneration after every kill, enabling a more aggressive playstyle. We reinforce this with theAll-Terrain Bootsfor fast movement speed,Commando Glovesto reload on the move, andMag Holsterto greatly reduce the M16’s reload time.
Since the Compression Carrier doesn’t have many equipment options, what you use is entirely down to preference. We recommend your favorite pistol and theThrowing Knifefor easy one-hit melee kills in Multiplayer.
