Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’sfourth season has released eight new aftermarket parts for players to earn, some of which apply to MW2 weapons. The JAK Decimator Kit is one such part, converting the suppressed Lachmann Shroud into a fully automatic SMG. It’s effectively a variant of the Lachmann Sub that trades bullet velocity and range for greatly improved mobility.

The good news is that unlocking this part is fairly straightforward. It’s not tied to the Weekly Challenge system, so you can unlock this attachment at any time. This guide will explain how to unlock the JAK Decimator, and we’ll showcase two powerful builds for this weapon.

Modern Warfare 3 JAK Decimator Kit

How To Unlock The JAK Decimator

The JAK Decimator is unlocked uponeliminating 30 enemies with a suppressed SMG.This challenge is tracked the second you unlock the Lachmann Shroud. All SMG kills countas well, including non-recommended SMGs. Simply land those 30 kills, then equip the aftermarket part on the Lachmann Shroud to make it fully automatic.

Accuracy JAK Decimator Build

The Lachmann Shroud is by no means an inaccurate gun, yet the slow bullet velocity and MW2 visual recoil make it somewhat tricky to aim. That’s why this build focuses onfiring aim stability and recoil controlto make this SMG as easy to use as possible. This does come at the cost of ADS speed, however, souse this SMG more like an assault rifle.

We equip theJAK Decimator KItto make the weapon fully automatic. We then use theJAK Glassless Opticto buff the weapon’s firing aim stability. For recoil control, equip theKimaru Ryn-03 Vertical Gripto greatly reduce the weapon’s vertical recoil. A40 Round Magshould help with landing multikills, and the1mw Artemis Laserprovides a great deal of idle aiming stability with zero drawbacks.

Loadout Recommendations

A solid option for any build is theCompression Carrier Vest, giving you Compression Carrier (MW2’s Quick Fix) and Tac Mask for free. We can then equipGhostto stay off the radar.Covert Sneakerswill muffle your footsteps, andQuick-Grip Gloveswill make your weapon swaps instantaneous. Equip a strong secondarylike the Cor-45, and you’ll do fine in most Multiplayer matches.

Tac Stance JAK Decimator Build

This build turns the Lachmann Shroud into a highly aggressive CQC weapon, achieving an absurd strafe speed of 4.5m/s and an ADS speed of 172ms. Calling it fast would be an understatement. But to achieve this without gutting the weapon’s accuracy, we have to usetac stance. This limits the weapon’s long-range potential, but this build lowers the tac stance spread to a fairly tight 1.5 degrees, making it a solid pick for small maps.

Beyond theJAK Decimator, we run the114mm DarkstartandLM Stockless Modto dramatically boost the weapon’s handling and mobility stats. For tac stance accuracy, we run theStovl Tac LaserandBruen Bastion Angled Grip. This also buffs the weapon’s hipfire accuracy a great deal, ideal for smaller maps like Shipment.

We recommend the same loadout as our previous build.Compression Carrier Vestis ideal for getting your health back quickly. We then useGhostto stay off the radar—although feel free to use Mag Holster for smaller maps where stealth isn’t as important—andCovert Sneakersto muffle our footstep audio.Quick-Grip Glovesare also great for buffing your weapon swap speed, but feel free to run another perk in its place.
