If you ask anyone what their first starter in the Hoenn region was, most of the time they will answer Torchic. Torchic’s third evolution turns it into the Fire/Fighting-type Blaziken with an iconic design.
The combination of both types gives it access to powerful offensive moves like Close Combat and Blaze Kick, while also still being able to perform moves like Brave Bird. During the Sixth and Seventh Generation, Blaziken also got an upgrade with a mega evolution that made it even cooler than it was before.
9Alakazam
Exclusive Trade Evolution
Alakazam may not be a powerful Pokémon when you pit them all together, but it does have many qualities that make it one of the best humanoid Pokémon. The restriction of only evolving through trading made it difficult for players who never utilized the feature to obtain an Alakazam.
This rarity only made it more lucrative for players who had one. Alakazam is also part of the Abra line, which is often one of the first rare Pokémon players encounter due to its evasive nature.

Lucario is one of the best Pokémon introduced in generation four. It is also an important Pokémon in the X and Y games, being one of the first Pokémon you are allowed to Mega Evolve.
It also takes many inspirations from other fighters, such as the ability to conjure up fighting energy known as aura, to use as an energy weapon reminiscent of Ryu’s Hadouken from Street Fighter and Goku’s Kamehameha Wave. The fact that Lucario has a Fighting/Steel-type is the icing on the cake.

Mewtwo wasone of the first hidden legendaries. While many players can encounter Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres on their journeys, Mewtwo stays hidden in Cerulean Cave until after you beat the game.
Mewtwo is featured as the antagonist in the very first Pokémon movie, which dives more into its existence as a clone of Mew. It is also the hidden reason why Team Rocket goes after the Silph Scope and the Master Ball, and it’s so popular that it was eventually brought back into Smash Bros after a brief absence.

Mr. Mime is as close as a Pokémon can get to looking like a human, yet somehow it still comes off as a whimsical monster. Despite looking more like a clown, Mr. Mime’s abilities are all based on the mime, with invisible walls and objects only it can see.
Mr. Mime is one of the best Psychic-type Pokémon in the early games because Alakazam was locked behind a trade evolution and Mewtwo was held off until the post-game. Mr. Mime also has a sillier, British form in its Galarian variant.

Mawile is a strange Pokémon that made its debut in the Hoenn region. Despite being human-shaped, Mawile has plenty of features that make it stand out, but its most iconic part is the mouth-like appendage on the back of its head.
Mawile has a cool-looking mega-evolution that gave it a more monstrous appearance as its singular ponytail turned into twin tails, each with its own mouth. As of generation six, Mawile has added Fairy to its typing, making it even stronger.

Just Like The Fables
Grimsnarl takes influence from ogres and trolls from mythology, and it truly does look like the kind of monster you would find in a cave. Its typing also reflects the inspiration as a Dark/Fairy-type, considering many old fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm used to feature darker imagery.
Grimsnarl gets a whole new form when Gigantamaxing, making it look as if it is made up of pure muscle. Its shiny variant is also one of thecoolest shinies, trading its normally black hair for pure snowy white.
3Machamp
Four Fists Of Fury
Machamp may seem a bit odd, having evolved with a pair of human wrestling briefs, but it is without a doubt one of the best humanoid Pokémon. Its evolutionary line has dinosaur-like features and by the time it reaches its final form, it becomes a being of pure muscle.
Four arms and the ability to punch at high speeds make it a terrifying force to behold. It becomes even more terrifying in its Gigantamax form, gaining the ability to punch with the same destructive force as a bomb.
2Toxtricity
Toxic And Electric
One of the most electrifying good Pokémon designs is Toxtricity, and if you’re looking for a humanoid Pokémon to fit your punk vibe, then you’ve found it. Toxtricity is a Poison/Electric-type found in the Galar region.
Mounds in the Galar region also depict Toxtricity’s Gigantamax form, which was later released during content updates. Being able to poison your opponents and give them a shocking amount of damage makes this Pokémon not only cool to look at, but one of the top Pokémon of generation eight.
1Gardevoir
The Best Humanoid Pokémon
Gardevoir is one of the best human-looking Pokémon in the entire series. With an elegant design and dual typing of Psychic/Fairy-type, it can be an absolute powerhouse and a certified Dragon killer.
One of the most popular Gardevoir is featured in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, and their story slowly unravels as they are revealed to be the deceased partner Pokémon of a selfish trainer. Gardevoir was also featured as the Champion Diantha’s signature partner Pokémon and given an even more elegant form during its mega evolution.
