Just like any puzzle or challenging problem that you’re trying to figure out, it can help to take breaks if you start to feel defeated or frustrated, or at the very least, look up at the sky for a bit to give your eyes a break from all that Bedrock you’re surrounded by.

Trust Your Instincts And Think Fast

Download Crypt Runner by Gripolli

Crypt Runner gives dungeon crawling, RPG vibes, allowing you to explore, navigate, and deal with dangerous roomsfull of tough Nether mobslike Zoglins and Wither Skeletons, and hopefully make it to safe rooms where you can buy gear and brace yourself for the rooms ahead.

The author claims you should get about five hours of gameplay, if not more out of the map, and relies entirely on Redstone, making it largely mod-friendly if you decide you want to run extra custom content on this map.

Grand And Complex

The Indigo Hotel is an intriguing map with a surprisingly rich story, full of narration and NPC dialogue that you’ll be clicking through occasionally, and overall just a high degree of thoughtfulness and polish that is catered towards the player experience.

The quick rundown of the map is that your car suddenly broke down, it’s pouring rain, and you have no choice but to seek refuge in the tall, multi-story hotel that is conveniently both nearby and still open. The rest is for you to figure out.

Challenging Rooms That Are True To The Name

If you’re tired of trying to figure outhow to make your Survival gameplay more challengingor fun, it might be time to give the Color Escape map, which features numerous, brightly colored rooms full of brain-teasing puzzles and parkour jumps a try.

Alternatively, if you want a better idea of what this map has to offer, there’s an entire playthrough available on YouTube by Captain Sparklez that you can skim through to gauge the difficulty level. You probably haven’t thought about that veteran Minecrafter in a while, huh?

Escape The Lost Halls is an incredibly feature-rich escape map, chock-full of custom models, cinematics, and multiplayer compatibility, and even has 22 custom music tracks you may jam to while you’re exploring and figuring out how to get out of the mysterious structure you’re in.

While it’s a weird way to conquer an escape map, the only way to win is to explore winding hallways, fight off defenses and a pesky fungal infection, and ultimately capture the creepy, glowing creature that wanders around this place, the Eye.

The Maze is an incredibly well-done,horror-themed mapthat takes inspiration from Game Boy Advance-era graphics to create a terrifying experience through low-light conditions, unsettling atmospheric music, confusing pathways, and a malevolent entity that moves around the map hunting you.

While you shouldn’t expect to get more than maybe 30 minutes of playtime out of this escape map, that hopefully won’t deter you from engaging in this remarkably unique experience. Who knows, it might even be one of the most stressful and heart-pounding gaming sessions you’ve had playing Minecraft.

A.V.A: Prison Break is, of course, an escape map, but instead of having time to methodically piece together various room puzzles, you’ll mostly be running on the same instinct and hand-eye coordination you’d rely on when playing the Zombies game mode from Call of Duty.

That’s right, this map features guns, ammo, shooter mechanics, and an overwhelming number of enemies to defeat as you navigate and make your way out of prison. Keep in mind, that this map requires the A.V.A mod and NeoForge to function properly.

With a total of 16 different puzzles to figure out, you’ll have plenty of time to rack your brain and discover clever solutions for each room as you pursue this map’s ultimate goal: reaching the top of the nearby tower. Also, yes, you do start at the bottom.

Although the author considers this a medium-difficulty map, and figures it’ll only take most people between 30 minutes and 2 hours to complete, that probably isn’t a problem for puzzle lovers and escapists, like yourself.
