Wuthering Wavesis an open-world gacha RPG that invites players into the post-apocalyptic world of Solaris-3. Players take on the role of the Rover, embarking on a quest to reclaim lost memories and uncover the secrets of the world.

In the world of Solaris-3, monsters are called tacet discords (TDs). A standout feature in Wuthering Waves is the innovative use of echoes - resonances of TDs' souls that are dropped by enemies. These echoes are equipped like armor, enhancing your characters' abilities. Each echo possesses unique abilities, encouraging players to explore the world thoroughly to find the best combinations that match their play style.

11X54-Traffic Illuminator

The Traffic Illuminator is a useful Echo that immobilizes your enemies, giving you the perfect opportunity to prepare heavy attacks or open a window for retreat, minimizing the risk of damage. This immobilization effect can be a tactical game-changer as you build your party.

The immobilization effect will lift after the enemy is attacked.

The Traffic Illuminator pairs exceptionally well with gun-wielding characters like Chixia. Chixia’s charged attacks take a moment to aim and set before it is ready to deploy. The Traffic Illuminator provides the necessary window of time to increase her damage potential.

10G04-Tick Tack

Tick Tack is one of the most common echoes available in Wuthering Waves, but its regular occurrence does not make it any less valuable. Summoning Tick Tack in battle deals a round of Havoc damage, making it a reliable choice for adding some immediate damage to your onslaught. However, the true strength of Tick Tack lies in its ability to debuff enemy Vibration Strength. This reduction in strength is valuable when facing Elite enemies at the start of your adventure.

Since Tick Tack is easy to find, you can grind for all three Sonata Effects, depending on the build of your team. These Sonata Effects offer passive buffs that significantly enhance your team’s overall performance.

9H05-Excarat

Excarat is Wuthering Wave’s Get Out of Jail Free card. When summoned, it grants you immunity to all damage for a short period of time and increases your speed as you tunnel underground. If you find yourself in a sticky situation, Excarat can let you make a very speedy escape to safety.

During the early stages of the game, while you are still building and leveling up your resonators, Excarat’s ability to provide a quick escape is particularly useful. Solaris-3 is filled with dangerous TDs, so it isn’t unusual to encounter a monster that is overpowered at your current level.

8S09-Fission Junrock

Fission Junrock is valuable both in battle and in world exploration. While in battle, this echo gives you two percent HP healing, which is enhanced if you have equipped at least two echoes with Rejuvenating Glow. Since it is a Common echo, Fission Junrock has a low charge time, which allows you to spam its healing ability.

Fission Junrock’s abilities are currently a bit glitchy. Sometimes, it will follow you around instead of healing or collecting materials. This glitch can be fixed by logging out and logging back in.

Outside of battle, Fission Junrock can collect crafting and cooking ingredients for you. This saves you time, especially when you’re mining large outcroppings. Not to mention, it’s adorable when it’s emphatically leading you towards cool things!

7H48-Spearback

When summoned, Spearback performs a series of claw strikes, inflicting a lot of damage in a single go. This barrage of attacks can quickly turn the tide of battle in your favor.

Spearback is particularly effective when paired with either a melee DPS resonator, such as Lingyang, or a sharpshooter, like Chixia. In close combat, Spearback’s aggressive strikes engage enemies, providing a valuable opportunity for Chixia to aim her more powerful attacks without interruption. This combination ensures that your enemies face relentless pressure from both melee and ranged attacks, maximizing your combat efficiency and effectiveness.

6H49-Havoc Dreadmane

Havoc Dreadmanes are some of the first Elite Echoes you encounter before reaching Jinzhou. When summoned, these Echoes unleash a series of tail strikes that deal substantial Havoc damage to enemies.

The end animation during Havoc Dreadmanes’s attack can be canceled by dodging.

Havoc Dreadmanes are versatile Echos that pair nicely with almost any type of resonator. Its charging attack can open a window for a gun-wielder. Meanwhile, DPS and tanks can work in concert with Havoc Dreadmanes to inflict a high amount of damage, especially since both of Havoc Dreadmane’s Sonata Effects can buff resonator damage stats.

5R55-Chaserazor

With its ability to transform into a carapace, Chaserazor initiates spinning attacks that deal 70% Aero damage, followed by a slash attack that inflicts 105% Aero damage, making Chaserazor a formidable foe. It also increases energy regeneration, allowing you to activate stronger attacks more regularly.

Chaserazor pairs exceptionally well with Aero DPS resonators like Yangyang and Jiyan. The combination of Chaserazor’s spinning and slash attacks with the continuous damage output from these resonators creates a powerful concert, ensuring that your enemies are consistently under pressure from high Aero damage.

4S06-Roseshroom

When summoned, Roseshroom immediately becomes a formidable force on the battlefield by firing a laser that deals substantial Havoc damage to enemies. Roseshroom shines when paired with DPS resonators. The combination of Roseshroom’s laser attack with the consistent damage output from DPS resonators creates a high amount of damage in a short period of time.

As one of the first Elite Echoes you encounter, Roseshroom offers a straightforward yet powerful way to enhance your combat effectiveness. Roseshroom provides a reliable and effective means of amplifying your resonator’s abilities, helping you tackle early-game challenges.

3W60-Tambourinist

The Tambourinist’s true strength lies in its support abilities. This Echo buffs Havoc attacks, making it a valuable asset for boosting your team’s overall damage output. It is most effective when set as a secondary Echo rather than a primary, leveraging the Tambourinist’s passive abilities.

The Tamborinist can be found in the Desorock Highland region, but it requires some world exploration off the main path.5r45es3wsa

The Tambourinist is best paired with Havoc DPS and tank characters. By enhancing Havoc damage, it complements the attacks of Havoc resonators, amplifying their effectiveness in battle while freeing up the primary Echo slot for strong offensive Echoes, such as the Autopuppet Scout or Chaserazor.

2S55-Stonewall Bracer

The Stonewall Bracer is the first Echo you absorb in Wuthering Waves. This Echo transforms your resonator into a formidable force, providing both offensive and defensive abilities. When summoned, the Stonewall Bracer charges forward, erecting a shield that protects you from incoming attacks. This shield is invaluable in tight situations, allowing you to either inflict a lot of damage or quickly retreat.

The Stonewall Bracer’s utility extends past fighting enemies. It proves to be a useful partner during exploration by breaking through rock piles and other obstacles with ease. This ability not only helps you navigate the terrain more efficiently but also opens up new areas for exploration and discovery.
