ThePokemon TCGis adding cards with many game-changing abilities and effects in the Twilight Masquerade expansion. These can make you rethink your strategies, whether you want to make beefy Pokemon that can one-hit kill your opponents or use abilities and effects that can slow down your opponent from getting too far ahead of you.

From killer Ace Spec cards to powerful EX Pokemon that can change the state of the game in an instant, these cards will make you think twice about how you build your deck. These are the ten best cards in Pokemon TCG’s Twilight Masquerade.

Pokemon TCG Enhanced Hammer Card

10Enhanced Hammer

Discard Special Energies

Enhanced Hammer is a pretty useful card that makes a return. It allows you to discard a special energy attached to one of your opponent’s Pokemon. This is incredibly useful and cards with similar abilities have seen play in the past as a way to disrupt setup.

Players who utilize Arven can easily search for this card, allowing them to put it in their hand and use it when the situation comes up. With cards like Mist Energy and Neo Upper Energy becoming more relevant, it’s nice to have something that can get rid of them.

Pokemon TCG Wellspring Mask Ogerpon EX Card Art

9Wellspring Mask Ogerpon EX

Lock Your Opponent Down

Wellspring Mask Ogerpon EX is a card featured in Twilight Masquerade that can help you lock up your opponent’s board. Sob deals 20 damage to your opponent’s Defending Pokemon while also preventing them from retreating. This can prevent them from switching out to a stronger Pokémon.

Torrential Pump deals 100 damage for one Water Energy and Two Colorless Energy. That 100 is a pretty solid number, but by shuffling three energy attached to Ogerpon, you can also deal 120 damage to one of their benched Pokemon and hopefully snag a prize card in the process.

Pokemon TCG Teal Mask Ogerpon EX Card

8Teal Mask Ogerpon EX

Free Energy And Draw

Teal Mask Ogerpon buffs up Grass decks with its ability, Teal Dance. Once per turn, you can attach a Basic Grass Energy from your hand to Ogerpon, boosting Ogerpon’s Myriad Leaf Shower attack and alsoletting you draw one card.

This can help you keep your hands full but also rack up damage quickly, as Myriad Leaf Shower does 30 times more damage for every energy attached to both your Pokemon and your opponent’s Pokemon. Combined, it makes for a great attacker to keep your opponent on their toes.

Pokemon TCG Bloodmoon Ursaluna EX Card

7Bloodmoon Ursaluna EX

Make A Late Game Comeback

Bloodmoon Ursaluna can help you make a comeback if your opponent has taken too many Prize Cards. With a whopping 260 HP for a Basic Pokemon, it can withstand many blows but also deal a devastating amount of damage for as little as zero energy.

Blood Moon deals 240 damage for five Energy, and its ability, Elder’s Technique, bumps the price down by one for each Prize Card your opponent has taken. This card is best utilized with other cards that can switch it out after attacking and setting up multiple energies in one turn.

Dragapult ex card from Transformation Mask in front of blurred card art in Pokemon TCG.

6Dragapult EX

Meta Changing Card

Dragapult EX is a card that shakes up the deck-building meta. For one Energy, Dragapule EX can deal 70 damage, which can be used to take down weaker Pokemon, but its best move is Phantom Drive, as it costs one Fire Energy and one Psychic Energy, and then deals 200 damage to your opponent’s Pokemon.

Afterward, its other effect kicks in, which allows you to put six damage counters on your opponent’s benched Pokemon in any way you like. This forces your opponent to use stronger basics with weaker abilities or risk losing them before they can evolve.

Tatsugiri, from Twilight Masquerade

5Tatsugiri

Lets You Fetch Supporters

Tatsugiri is a Pokemon you want in your deck if you want tosearch out Supporter cards, letting you look at the top six cards of your deck and fetch a Supporter that you find. This can get you easy access to Arven who can in turn bring out Buddy Buddy Poffin for some lightning-fast board setup.

With a low retreat cost and 70 HP, you can see this Pokemon last at least two turns before it gets knocked out. Luckily, the ability is worth having in your deck.

Pokemon TCG Jamming Tower Card

4Jamming Tower

Stop Pokémon Tools

Jamming Tower has a simple ability that works wonders in the meta. It’s a Stadium Card that negates the effect of Pokémon Tools in play, affecting both you and your opponent’s cards, but it’s well worth it.

Many cards such as Maximum Belt, Hero’s Cape, and Bravery Charm are used to beef up Pokemon’s attacks and HP. Jamming Tower can nullify their effects and put a wrench into many strategies, so if your deck uses minimal Tool cards, then Jamming Tower is a must-have to deal with peskier decks.

Pokemon TCG Greninja EX Card

3Greninja EX

Search For Any Card

Greninja EX is one of the most powerful Water Pokemon yet. It has a whopping 310 HP, allowing it to stay on the field longer, and its first attack is Ninja Blade, which deals 170 damage for only one Water Energy.

Ninja Blade’s effect also lets you search for any one card from your deck and add it to your hand, letting you get out of any jam for a low cost. Its second attack lets you discard two energy from Greninja to deal 120 damage to two of your opponent’s Pokemon including benched Pokemon.

Pokemon TCG Scoop Up Cyclone Card

2Scoop Up Cyclone

Reset Abilities And HP

Scoop Up Cyclone is a usefulAce Spec cardthat allows you to put one of your Pokemon and every card attached to it into your hand. This includes tools, energies, and pre-evolutions, but you’re able to use this ability to spam your Pokemon’s other abilities too.

You can use this card to instantly heal large amounts of HP from a beefy Basic Pokemon. You can also use this ability on Pokemon like Radiant Greninja to reset their ability to draw two cards.

Pokemon TCG Unfair Stamp Card

1Unfair Stamp

Twilight Masquerade’s Most Toxic Card

If you enjoy your deck having some toxic strategies, then Unfair Stamp is the best Ace Spec in Twilight Masquerade. You can only play this card if your opponent knocks out one of your Pokemon during their turn, but once it’s your turn, you can hit back twice as hard.

Once played, you can shuffle both your and your opponent’s hands into the deck, then draw five while your opponent draws two. This can leave them with fewer resources to work with, slowing their path to victory.
