Summary
Another Crab’s Treasurehas a unique approach to Soulslike games, trading the tradition of the dark and gloomy atmosphere of the genre for bright colors and funny characters. That doesn’t mean you can laugh your way through the game, as the bosses of Another Crab’s Treasure will test your ability.
Counting mandatory challenges and optional villains, Another Crab’s Adventure has 19 unique bosses. Here’s how they all rank, based on their lore importance, visual presentation, and how satisfying it is to fight them.

19Diseased Lichentropec
Location: Expire Grove
The Diseased Lichentrope has a fairly unique attack pattern, covering the arena in poisonous mud while trying to suck in Krill and swallow him whole. He also jumps high and slams his enormous body against you, but what makes this fighter unbearable is the boss' ability to summon minions.
The crabs the Diseased Lichentrope summon can be taken out with only a few hits, but they constantly get in the way of properly aiming, and the game’s camera can often work against you. That’s even worse when multiple enemies are on the screen, as your position will often make the Diseased Linchentrope disappear behind you, making it impossible to predict its attacks.

18Royal Shellsplitter
Location: The Shallows
The Royal Shellsplitter is potentially the first boss you’ll encounter in Another Crab’s Treasure. This optional boss is located on the east side of The Shallows and will emerge from the sands as soon as you approach it.
While The Royal Shellsplitter does quite an entrance, he’s nothing more than a pushover, and since he has simple attack patterns and a low health pool, it doesn’t take too long for you to beat him. Furthermore, he turns out quite forgettable since there’s no relevant lore about the Royal Shellsplitter.

17Polluted Platoon Pathfinder
The Polluted Platoon Pathfinder is one of the many giant crabs holding big weapons you’ll fight in Another Crab’s Treasure; unfortunately, so many bosses follow this design pattern, and some are bound to shine more than others. The Polluted Platoon Pathfinder is one such boss, as he blocks your way to the Moon Snail and the ability to upgrade your skill tree.
He’s a tough foe for those still getting into the flow of the game, but if you’ve played Soulslike games before, you’ll most likely beat him in one or a few attempts. If there’s one thing to praise in this boss, it is how his huge glass bottle breaks at half the fight, introducing some variation to his attack patterns.

16Scuttling Sludge Steamroller
Location: Floatsam Valley
The Scuttling Sludge Steamroller has tools that allow him to spread toxic mud around his arena, keeping you on your toes as you try to position yourself and counterattack. However, beyond that, this is yet another crab boss holding big weapons.
By the time you get to the Scuttling Sludge Steamroller, you’ll have mastered the parry and dodge windows of large enemies. As such, even if the boss brings something new to the table, it doesn’t do enough to stand out.

15Curdled Carbonara Connoisseur
Location: Expired Grove
The Curdled Carbonara Connoisseur is a secret boss behind a waterfall, a classic homage to one of the oldest gaming traditions. In addition, despite being one more crab holding big weapons, this boss shakes things up by using a pot lid as a shield.
Since the Curdled Carbonara Connoisseur can block your attacks, you must watch his movements closely, finding the right windows to hit him where it hurts. As such, this boss does a better job than other crab-like enemies to give you a unique challenge.

14Grovekeeper Topoda
Grovekeeper Topoda forces you to learn how to parry properly in Another Crab’s Treasure, which is why he’s such a wall. Topoda is also the guardian of the valuable Mantis Punch, which you’ll want to collect to break purple umami cubes.
What makes Topoda unique is also what turns him into such a pain in the buttocks, as Topoda teleports around and hits you pretty fast, which means you must react in a fraction of a second to parry him. However, Another Crab’s Treasure can be somewhat sluggish after you are hit or when trying to counterattack, which makes this fight challenging in an unpleasant way.

13Petroch, The False Moon
Location: The Unfanthom
Petroch, the False Moon has one of the best introductions of Another Crab’s Treasure. The boss fight starts when you enter a Moon Snail Shell in The Unfanthom, believing you’ll get access to a teleport and a checkpoint; instead, you find out a mighty foe inhabits the shell.
Petroch can conjure crystals all over the arena, and its rolling attack is devastating if you can’t dodge it in time. Plus, the darkness of The Unfanthom makes the boss fight even more eerie.

12Voltai, The Accumulator
Voltai has one of the wildest designs in Another Crab’s Treasure; while most bosses are crabs and other crustaceans, Voltai is an electric eel whose size vastly surpasses Krill’s. As her name betrays, Voltai accumulates valuable pieces of trash, which she will use to wipe the floor with your shell.
The many tools in Voltai’s arsenal include a toaster and a back massager. The only issue with Voltai is that she has the habit of running away from you, which can prolong the fight, as you constantly need to run after her.

Equipping the Rubber Band Stoway trivializes the battle, as the tool allows you to ignore Voltai’s electric attacks.
11Nephro, Captain Of The Guard
Nephro is arguably the easiest boss in Another Crab’s Treasure. He has well-telegraphed attacks that are easy to predict and can be dealt with in many ways, so even if this is your first Souslike, Nephro should go down quickly enough.
However, what Nephro lacks in challenge, he overcompensates with personality. With an over-the-top introduction and many great one-liners, Nephro ensures you won’t forget him.

10Helkea, Intimidation Crab
Helkea, Intimidation Crab, awaits you at the end of the Expired Grove. He holds one of the pieces of the treasure map you are after, which means you’ll face a fierce champion in your path to victory.
Using chopsticks as a huge sword, Helkea has many different movements you’ll learn how to deal with. The boss mixes attacks that must be parried, blocked, and dodged, meaning you’ll need to master the game’s combat system before killing the muscular crab.
