Summary
If you’ve played the first game and are returning to the newly reimagined roguelike design ofHades 2, you’ll know the gameplay is still not a walk in the park or the Underworld in Melinoe’s case. There are numerous systems at play, tough enemies and boss fightsto persevere through, and plenty of obstacles for your runs to end before you know it.
But the modding community for Hades 2 understands those same struggles and has already created quite a variety of them to make life much easier when taking on the Titan of Time and everyone before him. In fact, some of these might even be considered more like cheats than mods.

Hades 2 is currently in early access. Information here is subject to change.
10Stunning Flames
Mod Created By Etchk
Using the Umbral Flamesis already a pretty stunning spectacle of green orbs swirling around and hitting enemies, but what the name alludes to here is that you can now also stun and stagger enemies with them. Modder etchk snuck around in the game’s files and discovered that the Umbral Flames had the stagger option disabled from the Special and Omega Special in the Early Access version, and this mod reverts it.
Out of all the weapons in Hades 2, the Umbral Flames are not the best ones you may use, as the Moonstone Axe and Sister Blades have much better handling and damage. The stun ability may be just what’s needed for them to be more effective, and it helps in the sense that you won’t need to get a Boon that can stun enemies and expand your options.

9No Incremental Reroll Cost Increase
Mod Created By Leoparodo
Hades 2 has a dice roll mechanic called a Change of Fate, which is similar to the first game’s Fated Authority which allowed you to change a room’s reward. You can earn a Change of Fate through specific Arcana Cards that have them as the effect, gaining only up to four.
No Incremental Reroll Cost Increase does precisely what it says. This mod will eliminate you having to use extra Changes of Fate dice every time you want to reroll a Boon or Location Reward. Make Melinoe a high roller and keep going until you get the Boon or door icon you desire for no additional charge.

8Zagreus Dash
Mod Created By Mehaz
Melinoe is more special than her brother Zagreus in that she gets the option to sprint in addition to a normal dash to avoid attacks, as some enemies like Root Stalkers truly call for that. And because of this, the dash doesn’t feel the same asZagreus' in the first game.
Well, not anymore. The Zagreus Dash mod tries to mimic the exact trail and speed of the dash for Melinoe as her brother’s. This provides a nice extra boost to ensure you won’t take any unnecessary damage from enemies or projectiles when using dash to evade. Together with a sprint Boon, you should advance pretty far.

7Allow Hammer Reroll
Mod Created By Willhelm And WBW201201
If a Change of Fate is possible for Boons and you can reroll them to be presented with alternative options, you’d think the same could be done for Daedalus Hammer upgrades. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, which is a huge drawback since you can only receive two hammer upgrades for your weapon in a single run and possibly be stuck with ones you don’t want.
The Allow Hammer Reroll will make things right and allow you to use a Change of Fate if you’re not happy with the current offerings from the Daedalus Hammer upgrade selection.

6Increased Health And Mana 2X-4X
Mod Created By Mharius
In the chaotic roguelike design of Hades 2, your health and mana are what you have to worry about the most, so much sothat there’s even God Mode implementedto gradually help out with the amount of damage resistance you have. While you’ll eventually unlock Arcana Cards and collect Centaur Hearts and Soul Tonics to increase the amount of Life and Magick for Melinoe, this mod does the trick much sooner.
Through separate files, you may choose however much you want to increase your health and mana storage by up to a maximum of four times more for each. Having that much mana and health to start with, a solid Magick replenishment build, and possibly further increasing your health with additional Centaur Hearts you collect in rooms will leave a more than comfortable cushion for damage.

5Always Epic Boons
Mod Created By EmSix
While any and every Boon helps in dealing with the enemies Hades 2 throws at you, the Epic Boons are what you always want to be looking for. These are the highest purple tier of Boons, which automatically increase the stats for the damage your ability will do without having to upgrade it.
Naturally, you’d usually see a lot more Common and Rare Boonsin the early sections of your runs, with the Epic ones only starting to appear much later. Always Epic Boons is the perfect mod to get rid of the weaker stats of Common and Rare and ensure you receive only Epic Boons from the gods and goddesses aiding Melinoe.

4Infinite Grasp
Mod Created By Ameizo
Grasp is a new system introduced in Hades 2,and it’s tied to the Arcana Cards you can unlock, which further add to Melinoe’s build and increase your advantage during each run. You start the game off with ten Grasp, and as you collect more Psyche, you’ll eventually be able to upgrade your total Grasp from the Arcana Card menu.
This is important because the amount of Grasp you have corresponds to how many Arcana Cards Melinoe can bring with her. Since some require as much as five Grasp, it’s impossible to select all the ones you want. Infinite Grasp will allow you to equip as many Arcana Cards as there are in the Early Access version at all times, getting you to the highest number possible of 100 Grasp.

3Free Weapon Upgrades
Don’t want to go through all the trouble of unlocking every weapon the proper way in Hades 2? The Free Weapon Upgrades mod will help you out with just that by making every weapon available to you from the start, removing any conditions for the resources needed to unlock them, and the same for upgrading each weapon with Aspects.
Imagine starting your very first run with the Moonstone Axe, not needing to beat Hecate three times in a row to get enough Cinder for the Umbral Flames, or never having to worry about all the requirements for Weapon Aspects. Now you won’t need to with this mod from EmSix.

2Free Arcana Card Upgrades
Although you would still have to unlock your Arcana Cards the traditional way with all the requirements that are listed, this mod will allow you to instantly upgrade those cards without having to meet any further Ash requirements, spend Bones, or collect any other miscellaneous resources you see for some of them.
Upgrading all Arcana at no additional cost, paired with Infinite Grasp, will cause you to become very overpowered and turn Hades 2 into an incredibly broken game. This may even give you a straight shot to Chronos, especially if you also decide to combine it with the rest of the mods here on this list.

1Extended Altar Of Ashes
Another mod that can change Arcana options is the Extended Altar of Ashes. This not only increases your max Grasp to a total of 62 right away but goes the extra mile to make things even more of a breeze with its Heroic and Legendary upgrade options for Arcana Cards.
For example, an upgraded Eternity Arcana will only give you a maximum of three Death Defiance when it’s fully upgraded, but with this mod’s extra Heroic tier, you’ll receive a fourth Death Defiance. The Titan card will also only increase your max Magick and Life by 40 when fully upgraded, but now that changes to 60 with the Extended Altar of Ashes mod. Combine it with the mod above, and you’ll give yourself an Arcana blessing.
