Summary

Capcom has announced the next set of fighters coming toStreet Fighter 6at this year’s Summer Game Fest, with Elena, Mai, M.Bison, and Terry Bogart from theFatal Furyseries releasing over the next year.

With the release of Akuma last month, the future of Street Fighter 6 has been unknown for the first time since launch. It was all up in the air as to who would be next from Street Fighter’s massive roster to join Street Fighter 6, but Capcom has cleared everything up with a new trailer during this year’s Summer Game Fest. It was a bit of a bait and switch to begin with, but we now know that M.Bison, Terry, Elena, and Mai will be joining the roster over the next year and a bit.

Mai from Fatal Fury

The first character up after Akuma is Street Fighter villain M.Bison, who looks a little rougher than he did in previous games. He’ll join the Street Fighter 6 roster this summer, while Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard will be dropping in soon after at some point this Autumn. Elena is the thrid character in the set, coming to the game in Spring 2025, while we’re in for a long wait for our second Fatal Fury helping, as Mai will launch at some point in Winter 2025.

Terry Bogard, M.Bison, Elena, and Mai Shiranui Are All Coming To Street Fighter 6

M.Bison coming to Street Fighter 6 is no real surprise, as he was in Street Fighter 5, and he’s returned from the dead more times than you’re able to count. Fatal Fury has had a close relationship with Street Fighter for quite a while, making Terry and Mai’s inclusion super neat, and the first time a mainline Street Fighter game has included guest characters. Elena is probably the most surprising inclusion there, having last appeared in Street Fighter 4, though we’ll have to see how hardcore fans of the series feel about only two characters in the next pass.

Alongside Street Fighter 6’s new Fighter Pass, we alsogot the reveal of Civilization 7, an announcement fora new Lego Horizon game, anda whole slew of interesting horror games from Blumhouse.
