Street Fighter 6looks to be teasing the return of both Balrog and Vega, thanks to the addition of former Shadaloo leader M. Bison.
Street Fighter 6 has been shaken up a little bit thanks tothe recent addition of M. Bison and his bare behind, as things are starting to take a more villainous turn.Not only did we recently get Akuma, who treads a fine line between hero and villain on occasion, but the return of M. Bison seems to be teasing the potential addition of two other former Shadaloo members, those being Balrog and Vega.
We’ll start off with Balrog, who seems to be pretty much confirmed at this point. The Twitter account Fighting Game Anniversariesshared a cutscene from Street Fighter 6’s World Tour modeearlier today, revealing whether Balrog would be interested in donning his boxing gloves once again. In the scene, Balrog says that he’d be willing if someone made the right offer, but admits it would be difficult picking between M. Bison’s reformed Shadaloo, or Ed’s new Neo Shadaloo faction.
Street Fighter 6 Might Be Adding Balrog And Vega As DLC Characters
Vega’s potential addition is a little less cut and dry, as the tease comes in the form ofa series of mysterious text messages rather than a cutscene. In these text messages, a person who is unnamed admits that they’d be willing to rejoin Shadaloo if the rumors about M. Bison’s return are true, claiming that they’ll have to “take up my claw once again.” There’s only one devilishly handsome man with an iconic claw in the Street Fighter series, and this string of texts is a clear Vega tease.
If these two characters are added to Street Fighter 6 in the third wave of DLC, then we’ve pretty much got all of Street Fighter 2: Turbo’s roster. Only Sagat, Fei Long, and T. Hawk will be missing, though it’s doubtful the latter will be added due to the addition of Lily. She’s much less of a generic/slightly problematic stereotype than T. Hawk is, and it’s probably for the best that she’s considered his replacement.
We’ve got to get throughthe second wave of DLC fightersbefore we can find out if Balrog and Vega are joining the fray, and the addition of Elena - as well as Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui - means there will be plenty of heroes to combat the horde of villains that will likely descend on Metro City. If only Cody was also here to clean up his city.
