Summary

Have you ever wanted to read a short story about a couple of robots getting down and dirty? Well, we’ve got some great news for you then, becauseStellar Bladehas just the thing.

Throughout the game, you can collect pages of a story called Plastic Hearts, and as the name would suggest, it’s pretty romantic. But across the five volumes, there’s some very cheeky innuendo thrown in there, and it quickly becomes clear that the bots are doing a bit more than just holding hands.

Thankfully, those at TheGamer who have already blasted through Stellar Blade have compiled all five volumes, so you’re able to read the story here.

Plastic Hearts, A Robo-Romance Novel In Stellar Blade

The story of Athena and Pallas is a sweet one, but it takes a couple of naughty turns. I’m not quite sure what it means to lick another robot’s plug, but judging from Pallas' response, it’s not something you’d want to do with just anyone. It’s also a safe assumption to make that the “connecting” they refer to is a pretty sensual act, although again, I’m not quite sure what that entails.

Jokes aside, Stellar Blade has much more than sexy robots going for it. In our review, Editor-in-Chief Stacey Henley praised the game’s enemy design and boss battles. However, she was critical of Eve as a main character, feeling that she lacked personality, and that the overall story was shallow. you may check out our full review below.

Putting combat and romance novels aside, however, there’s another feature in Stellar Blade that will be interesting for players to encounter: its maths problems. Surprisingly, we found a couple of pretty difficult puzzles in the game, giving you a complex maths problem to solve. Seriously, I don’t think many of us expected Stellar Blade to be asking us to square numbers, but it absolutely does.

Stellar Blade is out now, available exclusively on PlayStation 5.It received positive reviews from critics, landing at an 82 on Metacritic. User reviews aren’t open at the time of writing, but based on the talk online, it’s going down pretty well with the playerbase.
