Summary
Stellar Bladeis a game known for its action-packed scenes of EVE, the game’s protagonist, slicing and dicing massive monsters. But it also has a lot of philosophical dialogue, particularly on the last stretch of the game, with the whole cast questioning the true nature of their decisions.
With a plot this thick, there are a lot of lines that stay with us, particularly after spending so many hours with these characters. Among those phrases, there are a few that sound more prominent, not only for their meaning but also for what they could suggest for the future of the franchise.

7“It Began With Me, I Am The Source Of It All”
Adam
When Adam says he is the source of it all, he really means it, and not only because he’s the Elder Naytiba. This is because Adam is, in reality, Raphael Marks, the creator of Mother Sphere, the Andro Eidos, and the Naytibas as a concept.
This makes him feel extremely guilty for all the war and destruction that his inventions brought, but his remorse can be deceiving: he isn’t responsible for most of what happens in the game. Raven is easily the one to blame for all the Naytiba’s organized destruction, but he feels guilt for her actions all the same.

6“Reading The Future… Is Like Mapping The Night Sky”
Mother Sphere
Once you beat the final boss, you’ll finally get to meet Mother Sphere, who starts saying a lot of things that, in EVE’s words, sound like nonsense. If you refuse Adam’s offer and kill him, Mother Sphere will drop this line about reading the future, but that line is slightly altered when you accept Adam’s offer.
In that alternate timeline, Mother Sphere is disappointed by your choice and talks about predicting the future rather than reading it. This implies that she more or less knew everything that would come to pass, up to the last choice, and may have manufactured a few scenarios so everything would come to pass this way.

5“Naytiba Or Andro Eidos… Is One More Human Than The Other?”
EVE
If you accept Adam’s offer, EVE starts to wonder what it means to be human. Since humanity as we know it is long gone, a new concept of human needs to emerge, and no side has a real claim to say they are the real humans, not the monstrous Naytibas nor the fully mechanized Andro Eidos.
The point of the line is that, rather than fighting, both sides should strive to work together and find harmony. This is easy enough with the Andro Eidos, but how EVE plans to reason with all the feral Naytibas isa question that no one has an answer for.

4“We Gave Up Our Humanity In Order To Survive”
This line encapsulates the biggest plot twist in Stellar Blade: Naytibas used to be humans, but they underwent a forced evolution, so they could fight back against the Andro Eidos. This is why they are called Naytibas, since it is a play on the word native.
Now, just because Naytibas used to be humans doesn’t make them any more monstrous, which is what Adam is referring to when talking to EVE at the nest. While those humans survived, the way in which they did so makes you wonder if it was worth it to survive at all.

3“I Don’t Want To Become One With Mother Sphere”
Lily
Lily seems to be purposely engineered for this moment so her death hits harder than a truck. She’s like a wet puppy that you just want to protect, while at the same time being extremely useful, since she is the source of all of EVE’s upgrades.
If you feel too bad about Lily’s death, you canget the secret endingto change fate.

Her final line echoes Tachy’s while also being the exact opposite. While Tachy remains faithful to Mother Sphere, wanting to become one with her, Lily no longer trusts her governing entity, her final words being a last act of defiance.
2“This Now Concludes The EVE Protocol”
Accepting Adam’s offer will have you meet Mother Sphere, who says this cryptic line before vanishing, sending a horde of soldiers to take you down. The simplest way to interpret it is that she’s marking you as an enemy of the Colony, “concluding” your bond with them.
Yet the word protocol has the fanbase scratching their heads since that is a word used to define a procedure, not an individual. Since the EVE protocol is over once she merges with Adam, it could be that EVE’s entire purpose was to fuse with the Elder Naytiba, although that just raises more questions than it answers.

1“How Dull”
Kasim
Most characters you meet don’t react to EVE’s appearance, which makes sense, considering the player can customize her look. One exception to this is Kasim, the hair stylist, who, after one quick glance, simply claims how dull you look.
This is hilarious for a number of reasons, chief among them the fact that EVE is clearly designed to look as appealing as possible. There’s also the fact that, in all likelihood, your EVE is wearing whatever you think looks best, so for some random NPC to just downplay your efforts has to hit hard.
