Star Wars Outlawsis launching on Jun 21, 2025. This was leaked early by the YouTube description of the game’s then-unreleased story trailer, which mentioned the previously unknown release date.
This description was spotted onResetEraand was only available on the Japanese upload of the trailer. It also leaked a season pass, multiple different editions, and pre-order bonuses. Two editions of the game, the Gold and Ultimate editions, will allow players to pick up the game three days early, making it available on August 27.
In response, the video was removed from theUbisoftJapan channel. However, this has all now been confirmed by the official release of the trailer, with the video description reading as follows:
Coming August 30th, 2024. Play up to 3 days early with Gold or Ultimate edition, which includes the base game and season pass. Pre-order now and receive the Kessel Runner Bonus Pack including cosmetics for your speeder and The Trailblazer starship!
This leaked release date was confirmed just hours later, as the story trailer went live at 5PM BST, which is 12PM ET over in the US. This reveal confirms that Star Wars Outlaws is sticking to its 2024 release window by a pretty wide margin.
Ubisoft didn’t comment on this leak, but that’s no surprise given that this was just hours before the announcement was planned anyway. We also now know that all of the leaked details were completely accurate, including information on the different editions of the game.
What Do We Know About Star Wars Outlaws So Far?
Star Wars Outlaws was revealed in June of last yearwith anextended gameplay trailer. It was also revealed as a 2024 release, as the project already seemed to be quite far in development. It’s being made by Massive Entertainment and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Star Wars Outlaws has us play as Kay Vess and her strange alien companion Nix. As per the latest trailer, the game will take us to a range of different locations as Kay takes on a bounty to secure her freedom.
