It’s been a while since we’ve seen Stalker 2, but that’s just changed at the Xbox Summer Game Fest Showcase, which gave us our best look yet at the game in action. The trailer was around four minutes long and featured a ton of gameplay footage, which looks to be very in line with the series.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobylwas supposed to launch on August 01, 2025, but with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in full swing, production was delayed.
Developer GSC Game World wasforced to move to the Czech Republicfrom Kyiv, Ukraine for its own safety, which meantputting development on holdcompletely. But its troubles didn’t end there. Since the studio was open in its support of its home country, a Russian hacker called NF Starleaked footageof the game, claiming to have “tens of gigabytes” that they would release if GSC didn’t meet their demands.
GSC refused to give inand continued to support Ukraine, eventually beginning development again, announcing thatthe game would launch on June 18, 2025. Now, at Summer Game Fest, we have our best look yet ahead of its launch in three months.
